Good table service ideas for DHS?

Hi haven't been to MM Sci Fi wasn't bad when we at there in 2004 but we haven't been since then mainly b/c of the menu change it just wasn't the same. On the other had the atmosphere is fun.

We were at MM in Oct and we really enjoyed it. The food was very good and our waiter was great. For a table full of Italians we really raved about the food.

It depends on what you are looking for in a TS- we have eaten at all of them and enjoyed them but they are different so it depends on what you are looking for.

Prime Time was good food- DH doesn't like the interaction (we had someone placed at our table) so while the food was excellent DH would prefer not to go back.

Hollywood and Vine (before it had character meals) we did a dinner here. The food was good but I prefer a sit down meal to a buffet. The desserts were my favorite part of the buffet.

Brown Derby- we had lunch here- the service was wonderful, the food was amazing, the price was a little high for us (we knew that going in and still went). The atmosphere is much more formal than the other places at DHS.

Mama Melrose- good food, we had fun with a group here and also had a romantic dinner a different time just DH and I

SciFi Dine In- the food was okay, the movies and atmosphere is why you go, to remember or experience what it is like being at a drive-in. Depending on your party size you may have someone else at your table- or be at someone elses table. Also many of the tables for 4 or 6 all have everyone facing the same way so it is not the kind of place you go to talk. You go to watch the movies and veg out for a bit

we've never had anyone seated w/ us a 50's was it crowded when you were there. Hollywood and Vine is only character for breakfast and lunch.

We love Mama's-ask for Barbara, she's awesome!
We also love the Brown Derby, one of our favorites.
This next trip we are going back to both and also 50's and the Sci Fi because we are taking friends and want them to experience the fun restaurants in the parks also. Can't wait!!!:)

No- they were put there as a punishment for not doing something right- part of the show but DH and my brother who was with us didn't like the show- it isn't bad just not there cup of tea.

50's Prime Time and Sci-Fi are 2 of my famuliy's favorite restaurants in all of WDW!!!! Good food and good fun at both!

I say 50's PT, also. We LOVE the down-home cooking & CM interaction. It was a wonderful experience overall. :thumbsup2

We've eaten at MM & I cannot remember anything about it. We weren't overly impressed. :confused3 We had b/fast at H&V with JoJo & others. It was probably the worst meal we've ever had at WDW. REALLY bad! :scared:

Our two must do in DHS are:

Sci-fi - Lunch How cool is a nightime drive in at noon?! Love the burgers, shake and the awesome onion rings. There is nothing like it in the (WD) world.

BD - Dinner. A cool old Hollywood feel. Food is pricey but consistent. Love the Oyster Brie soup. My boring DH order's steak every other meal and thought the rib eye was better than both Yachtsman and Le Cellier.

Mama Mia's - eh wouldn't cry to eat there but there are so many GREAT Italian places where we live, they just aren't worth the effort

H&V ate there once and never again.

I love H & V for breakfast. It is a buffet, but the the food is really good there are so many things to choose from, you cant go wrong. We always have 8:00am ressies and I think that is the time they open. The place is almost empty, so we get great character interaction from JoJo and Little Einstein characters. The waitstaff also put on cute shows with singing (songs from Disney Playhouse) and dancing. Kids get to participate. I have not been for any other meal than breakfast.

For lunch, I usually choose 50's Prime Time. Hey, Im on vacation and a little grease goes nice with vacations! The food is good and the portions are enormous. If you are going to skip a meal, squeeze this place in, you wont be hungry for the rest of the day.

I have been a few times (4 - 5 ??) and only had antics once. Since implementing the dining plan, the place is so busy, they hardly have time for it anymore.

Second choice for lunch would be Brown Derby. Its more my type of food, but the atmosphere is not something you couldnt find outside of Disney.

Ive never stayed at DHS long enough to have dinner there.

Good Luck with whatever you choose. If you dont like it, there is always another meal coming!!

with such an open ended question, you are going to get every TS in DHS listed in some form or another.
