Hi

I was wondering what are good items to collect at WDW that are good items for scrapbooking

my list so far is

park maps
fast passes
park passes
room paper product

what else is fun/neat/interesting/etc for scrapbooks!!

TIA :goodvibes

Here's things I like to keep:

the bill :scared1: (I think it will be fun to compare prices in 10 years)
luggage tags
tags off clothes or toys (love these, sometimes there are quotes or just cute pictures)
bill from a favorite restaurant
passport from kidcot
"pixie dust" from the kids' hair after going to the barber shop

I'm sure there are more but that's all I could think of right now ;)

Swizzle stick from drinks/cocktails
Pressed pennies
String confetti from shows (High School Musical dance/parade)
Airline tickets/boarding passes

(Thanks for making me start to think. I need to start making my list.)

Last trip I got some cute swizzle sticks from MGM with the earful tower on top, I broke the top off and they made cute embellishments. Also at MGM while watching the street performers do a skit they threw "funny money" and we grabbed some to use on pages with the street performer pics.

Every year I feel like I'm getting the same pics and after starting to scrap I tried to think of some ways to get a different spin on my traditional pics, last year I took a picture of my son with a CM in their representing country around the world showcase (after asking them if they minded of course). I also took pics of the different store signs and windows. I am always looking for different ideas of pics to take while at Disney.

I save napkins from the restaurants if they are printed on. One year I also kept a piece of tissue paper from the candy shop that had fireworks on it. I tend to save everything and sort it out as I am doing my book when I get home. I bring a 12X12 hard plastic folder to put it all in(leave it in the hotel room) that way it wont get messed up in the luggage going home.

I save everything ! If it's available to be picked up, I pick it up. I figure I'd rather have too much and have to weed out some of my bits and pieces at home than not have the perfect embellishment for a page. I take a backpack with a large outer pocket with me into the parks. I only put potential scrapbook stuff into that pocket, then I empty it out back at the room each day.

If you ride in the front of the monorail, the driver will give you a co-pilots license and if you ride the Speedway at MK, you can ask for a drivers license, they were giving them out the other day to eveyone who entered.:)

Besides all those mentioned, I've also picked up the confetti they throw when they open MK, asked for popcorn bags & basket liners, collected foreign language maps (fun to use in Epcot especially), saved the photo pass, and asked for recipes in each of the sitdown restaurants. I figure if it's free - why not? and if I don't end up using them, I'm not out any money

If you don't mind, I think I'll scraplift that idea!

Also, I like to buy a postcard everyday (sorry it's not a freebie) and use that for my journal "notes" at the end of the evening. It gives me more pictures to use - and often their shots are at angles or with characters that I can't get.

Oh, and extra magic hour/MNSSHP?etc wristbands!

Here is my title page which shows all of the stuff I collected:

TitlePage.jpg

It includes:
Park Map
Park Tickets
Map of Resort
Parking Pass
Boarding Pass
Extra Magic Hour bracelet
Fast Pass
Photopass Card

I just love your title page idea. If I may, I would love to scraplift it. I was looking for an idea next to my countdown page that could involve all the parks and traveling, airline ticket, park pass, etc,....

How did you do the embossing?

LL

I collect all of the stuff that's been mentioned, and I also have put some pins on some of my scrapbook pages and they look great! I, have certain special ones in my scrapbooks - my first ever pin, the pin I traded Art the Greeter for on the night of Hurricane Charley and my first DVC pin after becoming a member.

How do you get the pins to lie flat enough?
