I'm on some medicine that prevents me from being in the sun too long, and I don't even know if this exists, but my hope is to find a shaded spot where I can sit in the sand for awhile and maybe build a little castle. I can't walk on sand, so will rely on my daughter to haul over some water in a bucket for me to play with. :sunny:

I'll be using a beach wheelchair hopefully if one is available and my DD will do the pushing, but I know they are hard to push and don't want to waste her steps searching for a good place, so if anyone has a tip or suggestion for where we should look first, that would be wonderful.

It will be our first time but I gather I can ride my scooter off the ship all the way to where the sand wheelchairs are available. Depending on what sandy area we head to, will i possibly be able to scooter closer before needing to transfer to the sand wheelchair?

Thanks
dj

A nice little place is near the second tram stop at Pelican Point. You will leave the tram stop and head just to the left of the bathrooms. There are places quite close to the paved walkway with trees and hammocks. Just about every group of chairs and loungers have an umbrella too! I also assume there is a beach wheelie available at that pelican point stop as well. However, this is a little bit further from the ship as other potential locations. But the proximity to the walking path, bathrooms, shops, and the bar can be a benefit for someone who would rather spend a day in the shade without requiring tons of transport time on the sand.

Thank you so much. This is great to know!

Might i also ask...Do you know if my scooter will go on the tram or will it make more sense for me and my daughter to just walk? I have seen the map but i don't have a good sense for the scale of it all.
