My mom just found out that she has diabetic neuropathy in her feet. The doc recommended getting some good shoes. Any suggestions? I'm going to take her shopping this weekend. :confused3

I'm not diabetic but one of my oldest friends is, and she is in love with the Danskos I got her to buy. :)

I was going to say the CrocRx, too. My mom bought some, unfortunately she passed away before she got to wear them, so I guess I will wear them, I have plantar fasciitis and they are good for that too.

Make sure you get the Silver Cloud.

Also her doctor suggested New Balance. If she can tolerate them, Birkenstocks are great for Diabetics, too. Try a website for a company called Footsmart, they have many, many options and great prices, and free shipping. That is where I ordered moms Silver Cloud Crocs, they will send you a catalogue that have some great choices.

Thanks! I'll check those out too. She has some regular crocs but doesn't like them very much. They don't give her enough support. Are the RX ones better?

Yes, they are better. They have a toe guard across the front for more protection and the heel comes up a little higher in back to give it more of a regular shoe feeling. There is definitely a different feel about them, but I can't say much else, I only tried them on once, but I am gonna start breaking htem in for my Dec WDW trip, well and wiht the weather gettng cooler, I will wear them more than my flip flop Crocs.
