We tried Fulton's Crab Shack in 2011, and were really disappointed. Where do you recommend we try next time?

We don't really like buffets, and we will have a baby with us, but we'll go any where on site.

Depends what kind of seafood you are looking for. If you want excellent lobster go to Narcosees. It's my favorite restaurant in WDW. Flying fish also has very good seafood.

The best seafood we've had was at bluezoo in The Dolphin resort. Fulton's seems to be hit or miss but we've always had great shellfish there. We also enjoy Flying Fish. Many also like Cape May Cafe for their clambake but we've been twice and it was horrible both times.

As you're willing to go offsite, I'd recommend Celebration Town Tavern. You can view their menu online.

Enjoy.

:)

On-Site:
. . . Blue Zoo
. . . not much other choice for QUALITY seafood

Off-Site
. . . Fishbones, Hwy-192 (10-15 minutes from AK)
. . . Town Tavern, Celebration (15-20 minutes from MK)
. . . Oceanaire, International Drive, Orlando (25-minutes from DTD) *

* Seafood is so fresh, that the restaurant host goes to every major
hotel on International Drive and delivers a DAILY revised menu by 10:00am.
Now, that is fresh !!!

This sounds amazing!

DD has discovered Pointe Orlando so will send her to Oceanaire to try the Oyster Bar!

Rusty, do you have your Rating review of Oceanaire?

Cape May IS horrible.... tried it once years ago and a family member confirmed my opinion recently.
When i see so many people that like Cape May, I begin to doubt myself.... was i there on a bad night? Was i too picky?
I tend to believe some people are not picky enough, and I should form my own opinions.

Thanks for the info. I will check out these places and their menus.

I say Bluezoo or Narcoossee's.

Some rave about Flying Fish, but we didn't like it.

We actually LOVED our Mahi-Mahi that we got at Kona Cafe for dinner last trip!

Also check out Narcosees-it's at the GF.

Thanks, that's convenient for us , we are staying at Contemporary.
Not yet sure if we are renting a car. Great location....since I don't want an hour and half commute to dinner on a Disney bus.

Love Narcoossees!!! I always get the filet and lobster tail. Can't wait for my March reservation!!!
29 trips to Disney World and counting...next stop POFQ March 2014:joker:

NOTE: Oceanaire is "almost" a theme restaurant, as it is meant to simulate a 1930's ocean liner.
The fish is fresh EVERY day. In fact, the host goes to every major hotel on International Drive by
10:00am with a daily new menu, so the Concierge can show the daily seafood. (Pretty unique and
the menu specifies WHERE the fish was caught!) Special! We were impressed by the Crab Cake appy,
because it is close to New England quality. I enjoyed the Monk Fish, from Georges Bank. My dearest
MrsRustyScupper is not a fish person, so she ordered the 6oz Petite Filet, and it was fork-tender.
All sides are ala carte. We had the 6-Cheese Mac-n-Cheese and Steamed Broccoli with Parmesan
Cheese. Both prepared quite well. Landry's bought the Oceanaire chain, but they have not allowed
the quality to slip. We cannot comment on deserts, since we were far too full for food, and barely
squeezed down a Brandy & Coffee. Oceanaire, both before and after Landry is upper-scale and is
pricey. The DAILY menu is viewable on the web at TheOceanaire.Com. Wanted to leave until last,
comments on their Oyster Bar, which has its own chef. The quality is on the par of Legal Sea Foods
in Boston. Enough Said.

Wow! Thanks, Rusty! Great review and this will probably replace bluezoo as our standard must-do.

Also love that it is part of Magical Dining Month!!

The only places I'd go to for seafood on property are Narcossee's, Blue Zoo, and Flying Fish. And even they have off days. :(

Remember, Oceanaire is non-Disney and on International Drive, so you must drive or taxi.

Awesome, I'll speak to DH about venturing off site for a meal, otherwise Bluezoo, Narcosees and Flying Fish are going on our short list :thumbsup2
