Hi, we're planning our first-ever trip to WDW in June. I bought myself a pair of Teva's to wear because I liked all the reviews they got. But I'm not sure what to get my 6 y.o. daughter. I went to zappos but most kids sandals don't have reviews submitted yet. Should I just stick with tevas because they are a good name or are there other comfortable shoes out there for kids? We'll be at WDW for 10 days so comfort is very important. Thanks!

Pam

My kid's have Land's End sandles, and don't want to take them off! I have a pair, and they are very comfortable.

Columbia also makes good ones for kids. If you check at Marshall's, you can often get them for under $20 in the Spring. They also often have Kamik's, which are excellent as well.

If you are looking for something to walk around the parks in, I would stick to sneakers. My kids wear Tevas all the time, but I wouldn't put them on them to walk around all day long. Even with sneakers, I heard a few feet complaints from the troops.

My dd wears Teva's and only Teva's :teeth: . I bought her a pair of rafters sandels once and you would of thought the world was coming to an end  . She wears her tevas 24/7 during the summer and while at WDW they are the most comfortable and there are great for the water rides :smooth: .

Last April's trip my DD (7) and DS (5) both wore Birkenstocks. We had no foot problems. Even me and my DH also wore them. They are the best sandals.

I have purchased Keen sandals for myself from Eddie Bauer and from Zappos.com. I LOVE them. They come in amphibious styles - perfect for WDW and Florida weather. They are very supportive, yet you feel almost bouncy in them.

This past trip, I purchased Keen sandals for my two daughters. Just out of the box, didn't need to be broken in and they wore them all over the parks and just loved them. I brought them each 3 pairs of shoes to wear during the trip and everyday they chose to wear the Keens. The only thing is that they run 1 size small. Order a size up and they should be perfect.

I love Zappos because they don't charge shipping or return shipping.

My 5 yo DS had a pair of Hush Puppies sandals for last year's trip and I just got him a new pair for our trip next month. He wore his sandals all summer. We have a beach across the street from our house and he wore them on several occaisons right into the water and the leather never looked bad. I was going to have him use the same ones again but I was shopping the other day and found a pair on the clearance rack for $10 (last year's style)

Both of my boys wear Tevas. We've never had any problems with them.

I agree with hannahouse. This past summer was the first year my then 6 year old had to walk around Disney and not be chauffered in a stroller. I ordered her action sandals from Lands End. No blisters or anything (unlike me). She wore them every day the entire trip, wore them to Kings Island amusement park and wore them again at Disney in November. I've already ordered another pair for this summer. They're $15 for the solid colors, $16.50 for print colors. They're cheap enough in price to give them a try. She loves hers!

Thanks for the good info!

Regarding the Land's End Action Sandals....when looking at both the regular (solid) colors and the print colors, the print colors look like they have a higher arch (may be a bad thing if it's too high?) but the soles look more comfy.

Does anyone know if they are in fact identical other than their colors, or if one set is better than the other? Thanks!

My husband and I were JUST talking about sandals for our trip - literally seconds ago on the phone LOL! Thanks for the tips and info.

My vote is for LLBEAN as well. They will stand up to tough wear as well. :)

Re Land's End sandals, we have the solid action sandals - don't know about the prints.
