I will definitely be having a talk with my long time Pharmacist for never talking to me about the benefits of Good RX!SO easy!
My pharmacist actually told me about it.
If the Good RX price is cheaper at another Pharmacy than the Good RX price at your regular Pharmacy,do you have your Doctor resend the Prescription to the Pharmacy with the cheaper Good RX price or just take the lesser Good RX savings at your regular Pharmacy?
I've had the same experience. It's never been a better deal for me to go with GoodRX. And I don't have any RX's that are unusual.I've tried it a few times but never has the price been better than my insurance. I have one med that my insurance doesn't cover and the GoodRX price seems to be right on par with the cash price.
What I am asking is let's say you have a Prescription for Lipitor and the Good RX price at your regular Pharmacy, let's say Walgreens, is $10.00 and the Good RX price at,let's say CVS down the road,is $5.00 and both are less than your copay. The pricing of the prescription has nothing to do with your doctor. It's the price the pharmacy charges. You'd only talk to your doctor about prescribing a generic version or something ELSE if the price of the prescription he prescribed is too high for you. Just present the coupon to the pharmacy.
Well in addition to my long time Pharmacist, looks like I will be having the same talk with my long time Doctor! My doctor usually lets me know if one of my scripts would be cheaper using it and where to go
to get the price…
