Good RX

I don't know about paper prescriptions anymore. They don't do them in New York City. Too many people making fake prescriptions. It is all done electronically now, as far as I know.
It‘s the same where I am in the Northeast….

Hmmm ...seems odd. I've never had to provide them with any information -just show the card to the pharmacy. Either way, my info is out there -if it wasn't GoodRX, it would be for some other foolish purchase I've made. I'm probably more likely to receive targeted advertising just from making this post!
The pharmacy transmits your data to goodrx. Goodrx collects the data, to supposedly never share. That is a crock. As was mentioned above, YOU ARE THE PRODUCT!
I am not saying don't use good rx, but be aware that your information is being collected by them and may be hacked or given out without your knowledge.

I just print out the coupon. Haven't done it in a few months. But, it doesn't require me giving any info. If the pharmacy gives out our info, shame on them.
Read the terms and conditions over carefully then. Your data is sent to good rx. There is no way to get that special discount unless information is transmitted. Don't like it, don't use it. It as simple as that.

Yeah ...that's pretty much a given these days. The pharmacy I used wasn't my normal one -I don't think I provided anything but my address(which I don't reside) and a phone number(my work phone) and no email. So good luck to them!

Yep, I already used GoodRX, got the discount on SEVERAL months of prescriptions and saved much needed money. So, the horse is already out of the barn about my info being shared.

Maybe these other companies call and spam the phone number I gave, but it's a Google Voice number. I use it for ALL people/businesses I don't want unnecessary calls from. CVS used to send me many, repeated automated calls about refills, even though I told them not to and supposedly have it set in my account that way at the pharmacy. So, I switched the phone number they have for me to the Google Voice number. I guess they did me a favor by spamming me themselves so much. :rotfl:

That's brilliant... and on my To-Do list! I'm probably just a few steps behind the times

The Walgreens pharmacist told me that when I use GoodRx it doesn’t go towards my deductible. I’m usually far from meeting it so I don’t care but for people who plan to it that’s something to consider.
I was just going to ask about this. With my meds for glaucoma, I definitely hit my deductible each year. I use a manufacturers coupon for the most expensive (only non-generic) one and I believe with that it still counts against my deductible. Ridiculous how much it saves me. A $300 med drops to $60. I get a new coupon every year so it really is an artificially high initial price.
