Good Runner-Up Alternative to Brown Derby Cobb Salad

My DH and I love the Cobb Salad at the Brown Derby, but given the cost of the Brown Derby we don't go there very often. Tonight, we decided to try T-Rex for a quick dinner while we were at DTD, and I was pleasantly surprised to discover that the Pteradactyl Salad at T-Rex was just as tasty as the Brown Derby Cobb! If you have a hankering for that salad and can't get to the Brown Derby, try the Pteradactyl Salad!

ooooh! We aren't planning on the BD this trip and I know I will be missing the Cobb Salad. We are going to T-Rex so I will give this one a try!

We love the Cobb Salad at the Grand floridian Cafe. In our opinion it's better than the Brown Derby (not chopped up beyond recognition). If we ever go back to T-Rex I'll keep their salad in mind...the special effects at T-Rex were interesting but it's much too loud for us.

I am yet to try the Cobb salad at BD but contemplated going there to try it but the rest of the menu doesn't really thrill me.

Thanks for this post! I don't have a reservation for T-Rex, but I'm hoping to do a walk up while we're there. I love a good salad Is the T-Rex overly busy...am I risking it if I don't make a reservation? Is it easier to be seated lunch over dinner? I'm not sure what day we'll go to DTD, so I was hoping to just wing it!

T-Rex can get busy and it's usually easier to do lunch over dinner. It's also easier to get a table during the week than it is on a weekend. However, it can be done without reservations if you go when it opens or at an odd serving time.

Thank you for your response! That helps a lot and eases my mind a bit. I didn't make it to T-Rex last visit, and I'd really like to go this time to check it out
