good rooms on deck 1

We stayed in room 1037 on our cruise and we loved it. The only people down there are the people that stay on deck 1. We would stay there again if we wanted a room without a view.

Did you find that you heard any noise from the engines etc? Everyone that I tell we are staying on deck 1 act as though it were the worst place to be! (think lowest class passengers on Titanic ;) ) All I know is we were able to save $850 by booking 2 connecting cat 10's instead of 1 cat 4. we will be in rooms 1075/1077.

We loved deck 1. We just got back and had rooms 1056 and 1058. They were the first rooms off of the midship elevator. The only noise we had was when people were going to the elevator, but no other ship noises. We booked the same two rooms for our 11/06 cruise.

We spent one 4-night Wonder cruise in Room 1030 - the very last room at the end of the hallway (forward). It was great and would stay there again without hesitation.

The only noise we ever heard was for a few moments when they took up the gangway before leaving. Other than that, quiet as could be. Another plus was the doorway right across from that room. Led to a very short corridor that came out across from the forward elevators which we mostly had to ourselves. You often leave on Deck 1 forward to go ashore so was very quick and handy to and from our room.

Have a wonderful time.

We just stayed in 1032 on the 1/23 Wonder sailing. We found it very convienient! It's very quiet down there, and the only mechanical noise you could hear was something in the walls, but it was very soothing! Like a low hum! Although you can't use the Aft lifts to go all the way down to 1, the forward and midship lifts were very convienient!

Just kidding...I agree. After reading the notes on this and other sites, I thought I had a fate worse than death. On 1/22, we did two Cat 9 rooms (1050/1052), adjoining for my family of 5. almost half the cost of the Family Suite.

I've got to say it was really quite and we were the only ones who went there. One time we pushed 1 in the Elevator and a woman said 'what's down there?...why do you need to go to DECK ONE??!!!' My 8 yr old son said 'that's where they put us to sleep!' She was pretty embarrassed.

Anyway, I loved our rooms, bigger than the family suite and we could be alone by just shutting the middle door! The elevators got us to where we wanted to go like everyone else! :rotfl2:

Anyway, go for it...it was great.
