Good risotto in disney

Hands down - Le Cellier. That is the best that I have ever had. I even had to get the recipe last time. This time when I eat there, I will be getting a side of risotto to go with my risotto!

It was a seasonal special, so finding it on the menu might be tough, but in December we ate at Artist's Point and they had a Berkshire Pork Fatback Butternut Squash and Cranberry Risotto appetizer special that was, hands down, among the most incredible things I have ever tasted anywhere in any restaurant. I wake up dreaming (and drooling) about that dish.

They cooked the Berkshire fatback in duck fat. Yeah. That good. :littleangel:

If I were being executed this would be on my last meal list.

I am finding these reviews shocking. Had it two years ago and it was crunchy and pasty all at the same time. Yuck!

Maybe you caught a bad night at Le Cellier? It happens at the best of places.

I thought the risotto at Le Celleir was WAYYYY to salty..:scared1:
Flying Fish has the MOST AMAZING risotto on property by far!

I'll toss my vote behind Le Cellier or Artist Point. Didn't love Flying Fish's risotto.

I had an excellent risotto this past Friday at the Brown Derby. It was very good. The rice grains were tender and none were mushed or broken. The sauce was well flavored and creamy, not stiff. Wish I could make it like this at home.

Coriander Dusted Grouper - cauliflower risotto, fresh English peas, crunchy sunchokes, and a yellow tomato coulis.

I had the WORST risotto I've ever tasted at Le Cell. It was crunchy! Not prepared right at all. We've taken that place off our list of places to eat. I was really, really disappointed!

Le Cellier had the worst risotto I've ever had. It somehow managed to be salty, crunchy, and pasty at the same time. The food there was terrible. It's OT, but my dd ordered some plain pasta. They brought her a bowl of pasta that was completely drowned in olive oil. She was starving and ate most of it, but we will never try to eat there again. There was at least 1/4 cup of Olive oil in the bowl after she ate the top portion. I was shocked that they went to a Signature for dinner.:scared1:

Mama Melrose has a seasonal risotto on their tuna dish. Last time I had it the flavor was English Pea and Lemon--really good!

Via Napoli has fried saffron risotto balls filled with mozzarella and meat ragu on their menu. I have not tried them yet but they sound yummy.

Oh my god that looks heavenly! :littleangel:

These weren't good when we went. A bad version of Brooklyn rice balls. The Arancini (fancy name for these things) at Citricos is a thousand times better.

For regular risotto, I thought the mushroom one at Le Cellier was really good. To me, that made the dish more than the filet. But at those prices (and now higher that it's 2 credits at night), it might not be worth it.

At even higher prices, the seasonal salmon with spring pea risotto at California Grill is worth every cent. One of my favorite meals of all time (and I've luckily had it twice) in many trips to WDW. That's really risotto done right.

We've had good luck at Yachtsman's Steakhouse ––*so much so that the chef brought out the sides cook and we complimented him. I work for a food magazine and eat A LOT and it was really really good.

I thought the risotto at LC was just bad. I have heard it described as overcooked (or sometimes undercooked) minute rice with cream of mushroom sauce dumped in. I am in that camp!
