Good restaurants for first timers?

I have been to Disney many times with my family and we usually eat at the same places. In January I will be going with two of my friends. One has never been and the other has been once before but really doesn't know much about it (She was shocked when I told her there was an actual ride inside of the EPCOT ball!!).

What are your opinions on places that are a must to eat at for first timers?

My recommendations are:

Teppan Edo - Epcot - Lunch
Le Cellier - Epcot - Dinner
'Ohana - Poly (near MK) - Breakfast
CRT - MK - Dinner
Cosmic Rays - MK - Counter/Quick Service lunch

Last year was our first adult visit and we loved the following: Crystal Palace, Teppan Edo, Garden Grill, Tusker House (breakfast),
We are heading back and planning for Le Cellier and Boma as two must dos.

I would say must dos are

Crystal Palace, Tony's (if they love Lady and the Tramp) and Ohana.

There are some others depending on what your friend likes.

But the only one that is an absolute must is Crystal Palace. That whole restaurant screams DISNEY.

What are your opinions on places that are a must to eat at for first timers?

The most quintessentially-Disney Dining experience are those offered by 50s Prime Time Cafe, and to a lesser extent, Whispering Canyon Cafe. I'd make one of those an absolute must for a first-timer.

Those restaurants have great food, but not the best, so I'd be sure to include one restaurant that shows that there is great food at Walt Disney World, such as Chefs de France, or one of the Signature Restaurants.

And regardless of ages, a first-timer must do at least one character meal. The best, IMHO, for adults, is Crystal Palace.

That gives you one full-service meal at three of the parks (Crystal Palace at MK, Chefs de France at Epcot, and 50s Prime Time Cafe at HS). To round that out, I'd add Tusker House at AK, because it is IMHO the best buffet (with Boma coming in second).

DW and I enjoy the Biergarten at Germany in Epcot very much. Sci Fi-Dine In or 50's Prime Time Diner at HS would be fun.

Flame Tree BBQ in AK is good for lunch as is Cosmic Ray's in MK.

Ohana's for dinner!

Taking my dad this December (he was only to Disney once in the 70's when there was only MK! ) He's gonna be amazed!!

Ohana's is just so much fun and festive, the food is great and just keeps on coming and the bread pudding is AMAZING (and I normally HATE bread pudding! LOL) I think it will be a great way to start out our trip!!

Thanks everyone for your recommendations!!! Some I've eaten at before and others I have not gotten around to trying. This seems like it will be a good trip to revisit old favorites and branch out and try some new places

Chef Mickey's, we loved being able to meet so many of the stock characters in one place. If you have girls I would do one of the meals with Princesses.

I's say Cinderella's table for a Character Dinner and Ohana's Character Breakfast.
