We are going to be in Disney later this year when my daughter will be celebrating her 11th birthday. We've been quite a few times but I'm not sure what would be a good restaurant for her birthday lunch or dinner? Does anyone know if any of them do special things for birthdays?

I'm early enough that I can still get reservations (I'm more than the 180 days out).

So what ideas do you all have?

Jeff

1900 Park Faire! We had my DD's 3rd birthday there. It was such a nice place to celebrate her birthday. I ordered the slipper dessert from the GF Bakery for her, and Cinderella and Prince Charming brought it out to her while everyone sang "Happy Birthday". She received a birthday crown and an autographed placemat. She still talks about "eating Cinderella's slipper"!

ETA- I just noticed your daughter's age- I still think an 11 year old would get a kick out of this!

That sounds great; I think my daughter, even though she will be turning 11, will still love it. Especially with Cinderella bringing the desert to her.

Did you have to set this up when making the reservation? Or did you set up the desert part once you were at 1900 Park Faire?

Thanks,
Jeff

We are also planning on doing DD's 7th birthday dinner at 1900 Park Fare!

If she's into this type of thing you could take her to tea at the GF. I believe they do a My Disney Girl tea with princesses (I think it's everyday except Tuesday and Saurday) and a normal afternoon tea. If you wanted to make a whole day out of it you take her there more for lunch, do MK, and take her back later to 1900 for dinner. Just keep in mind it's really pricey.

The bakery is a seperate phone number from the reservation number. I had to order it seperately, but when I checked in at 1900 PF the hostess had a note on my reservation that I would be receiving the slipper (and another special dessert for my son).

I think my server arranged for Cinderella to bring the slipper out to the table- it seemed like it was a little bit of :wizard: and not standard procedure. I could be wrong, though.

I think I called 30 days in advance for the dessert. It cost between $12 - $14 (can't remember) and they just added the cost to my bill. Everyone sitting around us was amazed and asked how did I know to order that! It was perfect!
