We aren't going to the parks our first day. What would be a good restaurant to go to for dinner? We have an almost 2 year old DD and don't want to break the bank. CS is fine.

If you go to Downtown Disney I would highly recommend Earl of Sandwich, which is a great counter service location and their prices are very fair.

Bongo's.

Earl of Sandwich is delicious and very reasonable. They have great wraps and salads there. The little one may like their yogurt parfaits as well.

If you are interested in pizza or nice panninis you might look into Wolfgang Express. Their food is reasonable, easily shared and tasty as well. A bit more than Earl but you could easily share dishes here as portions are large.

Enjoy!

I completely recommend Earl of Sandwich :yay: Their sandwiches are super and are made on freshly baked, unbelievably yummy bread that is baked just for your sandwich  We have to do Earl's at least 2 or 3 times every trip :goodvibes

We LOVE Ragland Road. The atmosphere is good, the beer is cold, the desserts are fabulous. They also accept the DDP even though they are not technically a Disney restaurant. I actually downloaded the Bread and butter pudding from the DIS last week and made it... it was divine!!

We love Ragland Road. pretty authentic Irish Pub. excellent food and very nice atmosphere.

We love Ragland Road too. Its is usually our first dinner when we arrive every trip. But if you want to go a less costly route, I would recommend Wolfgang Pucks Express. Its a great CS choice and the food is fantastic and portions are large enough to share. No offense to EOS lovers (and they are yummy), but you can get a sammich anytime.

if you are goin to be at DTD, why not take the boat to SSR and try the Turf Club? We eat there religiously every trip and the food is amazing!

I will be the different one here. I am not a huge fan of any of the DTD restaurants. DH and I prefer eating at the nice resorts and we have two 3 year olds. We love eating at the Poly (Kona or Ohana).

Enjoy!

I agree with you too. Although we enjoy spending our first night at DTD, if you don't want to do DTD I would highly recommend Captain Cooks at the Poly for an inexpensive option. The adult grilled cheese is one of my favorite CS items to order.
And as an added bonus, you can have a Dole Whip!!!:lovestruc

No ADR needed and you can experience all the wonderful features of the Poly, like the beach and depending on what time you go you can catch the fireworks and EWP with a fantastic view. What better way to start your trip, right?! :welcome:

We love Wolf Gang Pucks Express.....We love to get a bbq chicken pizza and share an entree salad and of course my kids love the fries there:goodvibes
