Good resort for 3 adults and 2 kids

Suggestions needed: I'm planning a trip to WDW in the fall for 3 adults and 2 kids. My two children and I will be going with my parents. I'm wondering If we should try to get two adjoining rooms or if there are 1 or 2 bedroom units they would and more sense. I am a Disney passholder. We like to rent dvc at Boardwalk but I'm thinking the availability there is limited in the fall. Just wanted to get thoughts form the group. Thanks

It really depends on your budget and how close together you want to be with your parents. Connecting rooms aren't guaranteed, but if that doesn't bother you, then the sky is really the limit. If it's in the budget, the 2-bedroom villas at the DVC resorts are wonderful. You would get two bedrooms plus a living room area with a full kitchen and washer/dryer.

Another option is a Fort Wilderness cabin. That's where we're getting next trip.

Only one bathroom at cabins so deal breaker for me.

First, decide on a budget. There are many options for you that are dependent on how much you are willing to spend. I would do two rooms somewhere, it gives you more privacy and two bathrooms.

I also wouldn't rule out Boardwalk Villas for the fall. The studios and lower point value rooms are typically booked up at the 11 month mark but 1 and 2 Bedrooms are a lower demand because they require more points.

A 1 bedroom at BWV sleeps 4 with a king bed and queen sleeper sofa. They will allow a 5th with DVC points but you have to bring something to sleep on. I would try for 2 studios at Poly, most are connecting.
