What do you recomend?

I'm going SBing retreat and it was recommended I bring my own. I saw some at Joann's online on sale and wondered what else is out there.

I use an Ott Light, table model, but it needs electricity. I'd be interested in a battery powered model, if someone can suggest one.

I have a Ott Light as well. LOVE IT!! Joann's has them and I bet you could use a coupon on it. But it does need to be plugged in.

I also LOVE my OTT light. I have had it for many years now and it has traveled with me a few times. I have a small closing table version. The original bulb is still going strong. It shows colors so well and true. I don't think you could go wrong with an OTT light for crafting...........P

I think they make rechargable Ott Lights now. But they're 120$ or more, and only last 3 1/2 hours.

Yeah, the rechargeable Ott's do not get good reviews. I was looking on Amazon, and might go for the coleman rechargeable, unless someone can recommend something better.

Thanks girls I knew to ask here.

I wonder if ACM has them I remember I have a GC for there.:goodvibes

Does anyone find that the Ott light is to harsh??

DH was going to buy me one for Xmas but when we looked at them, he thought the light wasn't very natural looking. I can't do bright harsh lights, we use the GE reveal light bulbs in the house.

I have two ott lights, Buffy, a floor and a table model, and I love them both. That being said, I always have general room lighting on as well, which may mitigate any harshness.

I really need one for the Cape, and there was minimal light out on the porch. Do you think the OTT will be enough?

I love my OTT light.:lovestruc:lovestruc:lovestruc I hate not having it when I go to crops. Tom got me it for xmas 08. Mom has the table model and doesn't like the color. It is dfinately bright but I keep it facing down abd it's fine

HOLY COW!!

No one warned me how much they cost. $250 for a light. Sorry I don't need one that bad. OUCH! Got to put tha ton my BF list.:lmao:

Huh my floor one was 89...... off to look and see if they've gone up that much.

Wait til they're on sale or use a coupon at J's or M's. NO need to pay full price!

yep guess they have right now mine is on sale for 119 inflation i guess

I have two Ott lights. I have the small foldable one that I take to crops, and then I have a desk lamp that has a really long skinny wand-like light that I use on my Cricut table. I like this one because it has an outlet on it, so you don't lose an outlet when you plug in the lamp. I have my Cricut plugged in there, and it is much easier to get to when I pack up my Cricut for crops. I like them - the lighting in my room is not the best.

Tuesday Morning, in my area at least, has a Ott folding minilight for $20 or 25$. It plugs in and is a light about the size of a quart of milk. They also had another brand, but I did not look at that. There were about 5 or 6 in stock, so if anyone is coming to Hartford and wants one, pm me and I'll make a trip over to get them. it looks like this, although I doubt it is the same model
