I am looking for some good quality luggage. I have a budget of $750.00 which has to include taxes. Does anyone know of a place around the Mississauga, Oakville, Burlington area that sells luggage? I have a Bentleys near my house that I am going to look into today but was wondering if there was anywhere else that would have good travel luggage.

I go to the Bay. I like the Heys line of hard cover luggage though.

I highly recommend Heys luggage. I just bought a couple hard-sided Heys suitcases from Bentleys. I spent less than $200 for both. The store offers a great warranty, and Heys offers an even longer warranty(I think its 10 years). I received great service from Heys when I had a problem with my Travelmate bag...I sent them my old one and they replaced it for free.. in 2 days!

Heys is available all over... Bentleys, the Bay, Zellers.. check out their site for a list of stores that carry it.

I really like the Ricardo of Beverly Hills line, they have great features that other cases do not have like 2 completely separate compartments in their luggage and they have a 15 year warranty. Regular price for a large case around $250, but they regularly go on sale at The Bay or Zellers for much less.

You might look into a specialized luggage place (yellow pages were a saver for me), they usually can hand out good advice. Or I suggest The Bay as well, but only buy when on 50-60% "sale" (i.e. every week-end  ). And check out to buy some light luggage, with the weight restrictions getting lower and lower, you don't want a suitcase of 15 pounds! And don't feel like you need a complete set. I find 2*26 inch more practical than a 26+29 inch. The 29 inch is soooo big, and it's easy to get overweight.

Before my last trip, I got Air Canada Super Lite luggage in brown/beige at The Bay, made by Holiday Luggage. It's not top quality, but it's OK for 1-2 trips/year, and I got a good price: 20+26 inch for 120$+tax. My aunt also had a good experience with Holiday warranty when a suitcase broke, so it this comforting (not that it broke thought! :rotfl2: ).

I also checked Hey's, the xCase line is pretty and light, but it would have run 200$ for 2 pieces (budget was TIGHT), and my boyfriend thought they looked like an old vacuum!! :lmao: He vetoed against them! There was also a light Skyway that I checked.

On your budget, if you need like 4-5 pieces, you could go over 100$ a piece, but then really look into a luggage store (not Bentley's), but a place where they sell and repair them. You'll get some advice on what should fit your needs AND your budget.

Good luck!

When I bought my luggage at Bentley's, they told me they have a 2 year store warranty and you can bring your luggage in and they'll fix zippers, seams and wheels.

Evex Luggage Centre (they have a retail store in Mississauga on Dundas St E, just a little west of the 427). They sell many brands of luggage, plus they also do repairs (they have the contract with Air Canada, to repair luggage AC breaks).

I like the Victorinox line. I recently bought two for my fiance and I for our Disney trip. They were recommended to me by some of the execs at work who travel quite a bit. The fabric is a higher quality than a lot of other luggage and I really like that it expands slightly (great for bringing home all the souvenirs). The smaller carry-on even has a neat folding hanger and garment bag for suits. The handle that twists so you can hold it vertically is my favourite though.

I picked mine up at a store called Access in Yorkdale when they were having a buy one get one half off sale. They're a little pricey but I think it was well worth the money.

:rotfl2: That's why I suggest the Bay. I got my Heys luggage for $40 for the carry on.

I have gotten so many compliments on my Heys carry on luggage (I don't think the americans have it). And it's great for transporting breakable items (like one time I had to carry my DS' portable TV) due to it's hard case.
