Good purse to take on vacation

DH and I are going on a cruise soon (no kids) and I am looking for a purse that is good for travel. I know I want a shoulder bag and I'd like at least 1 outer zip pocket and 1 inner zip pocket. I don't carry too much around so it doesn't need to be too big. I would like something that will go with most anything I wear if that is possible. I have a couple of Vera Bradley that I like, but they definitely don't match all my clothes with their floral patterns.

Does anyone have any suggestions?

My suggestion would be a nice Vera Bradley bag ... Vera Bradley has some nylon bags in solid colors as well (wine, khaki, black, turquoise, green, pink)

I'd recommend the Baggelini's - check them out on ebags.com. I have one that I love and have given to all my sisters. It's great for travel as the strap is adjustable enough to be long enough to cross across my body so I don't have to have it hanging on my shoulder.

I would find a nice, smaller, backpack style or messenger style bag then put in a wristlet or similar that you can take out and use around the ship if needed. With the backpack or messenger bag you don't have to keep hiking up the purse, your hands are free to shop and you can carry more as you shop.

Coach has stylish crossbody bags that are wonderful. Its a vacation staple for me. BY the way, a wristlet can hold, lipstick, some cash and a cc (and more) and then you are not lugging something, plus you can place atop your dining table as it is small and inconspicuous!
