Good "priceline" deals for late October??

Which resource do you utilize for room reservations at WDW??

  • Priceline.com (why pay more than you want to?)

  • Walt Disney Travel (reliable, probably paying more than need to)

  • personal travel agent (known him/her for years)

  • Internet(convenient, can do my own research)

My wife and I are planning our annual trek to WDW about the third week of October. This is a tradition that started with our honeymoon 2 years ago. Has anyone ever landed a "priceline" deal at one of the WDW resorts or are they off limits?? Last year we got a real good "priceline" deal at the Wyndham Plaza at DD. I wouldn't mind staying in that area again. Sounds like the "Best Western" at DD has been a good deal for quite a few of you.

The only Disney resorts that have come up on Priceline are the Swan and Dolphin and they only come up occasionally. You must be flexible when using Priceline. If you have your heart set on a certain hotel, then Priceline is not for you. We always use Priceline for our trips - in fact we'll be spending 3 weeks in Orlando in October thanks to Priceline. We got the 3* Rosen Centre near Seaworld for $30/nt. and the 3* Sheraton Safari near DD for $34/nt. Even the steepest discount sites cannot provide rates like these. For us it's Priceline or nothing!

I am very flexible and have pretty much gotten to the point where I either use Priceline (or Hotwire) if I am not doing a DVC stay. However, I am willing to stay whereever they put me and do not HAVE to be on property.

You will NOT get a Disney resort. Swan/Dolphin are limited on priceline

We used priceline for our trip this Sept for a cheap hotel for our days we are doing Universal and IOA. I didn't want to pay the extra money to stay on a Disney resort if we weren't really going to be "doing" Disney. We got the 3* Hyatt Orlando for $34 a night !! We also used Priceline for our airfare and got great deals (we fly out of Denver so it is hard to catch a break here)

I am not picky so typically always try priceline have gone to Florida previously, Las Vegas, Ohio, Mississippi , and have NEVER been disapointed with what I got (although I have heard other people who have)

Long live Priceline !!

We just got Wyndham Palace for $62 /night for Oct. 23 - Oct. 28. Hope it's nice! Jill

I have stayed at the Wyndam several times on priceline and the rooms are fine. My only real complaint is check in. They have a bunch of computers, but only one or two people working no matter when I go. I think this is STUPID since they have lots of conventions there.

The pool area is nice also.
