thats with disney thereselfs. is there any other chearer way to do it? im sorta felixeble with dates but has to be from a thursday to a wedsnday in september.

also is that a good price for the 3 of us?

any advice would be great, thankyou

don't you think thats expensive?

well we were roughly that this june, when we stayed at hotel new york, but that was only 4 nights and the food wasnt included. thought it was ok for the food and the extra days. but it is the santa fe. :confused3 im not sure if there is any cheaper way of doing it. as we really do want to stay on site.

I can't get onto the official site just now, its telling me its down for maintenance?

Anyway, I had a look on shortbreaks.com (they usually have the same offers as DLP does). Can't get a quote for 6 nights, but for your party and dates, but for 5 nights, the Santa Fe is showing as £744 total.

Do you not think you'd be able to do the Eurostar and food yourself cheaper than around £1000?

That does sound quite a lot. We're planning on staying at the Sequoia Lodge for 3 nights in May and I've been quoted £729 for two adults plus a 5 year old and an 8 year, travel not included.

It's probably the travel that's upping the cost - I would definitely look to book Eurostar direct as it's very likely you'll get it cheaper. I booked our Eurostar tickets a few weeks ago and it cost £220 for all four of us.

Personally I think it sound a lot!?!
I would book the eurostar and wait til a good offer comes up on the disney site 30%, 40% or even 50% !! :confused3

Ah, I didn't realise your price included food. Is that the full-board option? I expect that would add a lot to the cost. We used the half board option last time and I didn't think it was particularly great value so next time I'll be getting a shareholders card instead.

OP you are already a shareholder, so don't buy any of the half board plans at all, your shareholders club discount gets you better savings at table and buffet service meals at DLP than any of them :).

i called eurostar and got a qoute of £109 each adult, so that £218.

does the short breaks one include the park entry?

yeah thats full board for all 3 of us, think it said it was £390 ish

oh i never thought of that, good plan

yes, shortbreaks.com deals to DLP do include the same park tickets that you get with the official site.

It depends how cheap you want to do it...

We went this October for a week (monday to monday) 2 adults and 3 year old and it cost under £1000 including spending money, we also spent 2 days in paris.

Brought annual passes from CE multivantages website for £200 for 2 adults and got 2 child ones free (sold one of the child ones on ebay for £50)

Accomodation was self catering apartment a 2 min bus ride away £440. This ment we could cook our own meals and saved loads of money!

Eurostar £150 but used nectar points so only cost £30!

Now trying to get the cheapest prices I can for our next trip :)

I know that price includes food but 3 of us (2 adults 1 child) are doing 6 days / 5 nights staying in the disneyland hotel in march & its cheaper than that !!

And 3 nights /4 days at the SL in june this year was only £600 .. Even with food & travel still sound like a lot

Personally I wouldn't pay that, I'd be waiting for a deal.

We paid £736.00 for 4 adults and 2 children for 4 nights 5 days at Santa Fe, that's 2 rooms.
Booked 2 rooms at Santa Fe for 1 night with Expedia for £100
and Easyjet flights cost us £300, taxi CDG - park £120

so about £1300.00 in total but for twice your group size and I wouldn't really expect to pay more in sept than january.

OP I've had a look on the official site - for your dates, 6 nights/7 days its £868 for your party (this apparently has 25% discount on the full price).

However, you can do the same deal cheaper, especially as you are a shareholder. The same deal for one adult and one free child (children under 7 are free at that time of year) is £686.
You can then buy one annual pass (a Fantasy AP one will be fine, as I don't think there are any blackout dates in your September dates) and add one adult (your Mum) to the booking when you check in at your hotel. The most you will be charged by the hotel for doing this (if they charge you at all) are local taxes of less than 2 euros per night.
Your fantasy AP would cost, with your shareholders club discount of 15%, 118 euros.

So the total cost would be £686 plus £102 ish for the fantasy AP. The good thing about doing it this way is you get to use the AP for 10% counter service discount for your party, and if you go back to DLP within a year of your trip in September, you can do the same booking process again, as the AP will still be valid as a park entry ticket :).

DLRPMagic has a great page for information on annual passes.

This is interesting :) I didn't realise you could do this. Does this imply that the number of adults/children per room are really not significant when you all have annual passes?

How does it work, do you just ask for room only for one adult and then add the other adult/children at checkin?

.

Fantasy is now at 149€, went up start of Nov, so it's 126€ :goodvibes

I have the following as blackout days though atm - 22, 23, 29 and 30 september 2012 (so good but could change)

well you can certainly call Disney and ask how much it would cost for room only onsite (and tell them you are AP holders so they can check for a relevant discount).
But I've found it cheaper to book one adult (and any free kids) into the room on a package (ie getting park hopper tickets for those on the booking included) and then adding the extra AP holders at check-in. Its all about working out which way is better value for your party. If you do find its cheaper to book one adult (and free kids) in on a package then add others to the room when you check in, you should contact the hotel a week or so before you arrive to tell them how many guests will be checking into the room. And of course, you still have to follow the maximum number of guests in a room rule ie 4 guests plus an infant maximum in a standard room.

thanks Carrie Cat - and thanks for asking at the HNY earlier this year if guests who aren't staying there can pay to have breakfast there. We had breakfast at Inventions in the DLH last month, it was fantastic :thumbsup2.
