Any recommendations for eateries for adults with decent kids menus as well?

Thanks.

In or out of the parks? .. we found that virtually everywhere had good kid choices and were very kiddy friendly/oriented.. some of our favourites include:

Rest Akershus at Norway/Epcot (buffet style with loads of choice)

Outback (near Splendid China on the 1920.. aussie steakhouse

Logan's roadhouses on the 192(free peanuts!)(and you can drop the shells on the floor...DS, 8, loved it!)

Rainforest Cafe at DTD (I know, I know, but the kids loved it!)

Hollywood & Vine, MGM

..honestly, unless your kids are really picky, if you find somewhere you would like as adults, the americans know how to make it work for the wee ones too (in OUR experience.. I'm waiting to drown under the dozens of opposing views!LOL!)

does anyone know if hollywood and vine are open for christmas day lunch and if so do they still serve the same menu or do they jazz it up for christmas day??:teeth:

Having just got back we found that off site Tony Romas did by far the best choice on the kids menu (the adult meals were delicious too). It ranged from burger/chicken//pizza/pasta/ribs/wraps/shrimp so almost everyone was catered for.

Boma at Animal Kingdom Lodge, great buffet kids have their own section but can choose anything. Wonderful desserts.

Then after the meal you can go outside to view the animals, all 3 of ours loved it.

Whispering Canyon Cafe at WL is great for kids. They enjoyed nearly as much as I did ;)

Went in October/November and tried Cracker Barrell for the first time. No children with us but a 19 year old DD! It seemed a very children oriented place with a lovely home style menu. We will certainly go again. There is also a great shop for gifts and stuff.:sunny:

The Ponderosa at the south end of I drive, excellent value 'all you can eat buffets'.

Great finger foods for the kids, plus jellies, fruit , ice cream etc..

From many times at Disney.

Ohanna's and Wispering Canyon have activities that kids will enjoy very much while you eat.

Both very fun places.

We took the kids to Roadhouse Grill last year on 192 (travelling east away from I4 it's on the left about 2/3 down this map 192 Map).

The food and atmosphere were good. What the kids really liked were the free buckets of (salted) peanuts in their shells on the table - and you throw all the shells on the floor. It took a little while for them to get their heads round this, normally being told not to do this type of thing. They soon got into it though and had a great time. I'm not sure but it may also have been a kids eat free restaurant as well, I can't remember. Not sure where you're staying but there are other Roadhouse Grills around - worth checking the phone book.

The Roadhouse Grill looks interesting, thanks for mentioning it SimonY.

According to the website, kids 12 and under eat free with an adult on Tuesdays (imaginary friends eat free too and do not have to be accompanied... ). I assume they have to eat from the kids menu toqualify, which, if it is the case, is a pity because my partners 12 yr old can seriously eat !

Another restaurant I've heard mentioned that sounds worth a visit is a place called Jeff Foxworthy's Backyard Barbeque, which is at or very close to Kissimmee Old Town on US 192. Someone mentioned it on the Disney restaurant boards and said it was good value and good quality, and has a kind of redneck, backwood's theme - I think one thing mentioned was that they have car bench seats instead of normal seats/benches. I'll be looking it up when we go over .

Jungle Jims at Crossroads, B-Line Diner in the Peabody at I-Drive,.......and one we just found this holiday ( December ) is The Olive Garden at marker 12 West Bound. This was by far the best place we visited this year, Italian eatery, great kids menu or they'll do small portions off the adults menu. Nothing is too much trouble for their staff.

Best way to describe it is like a very authentic Italian restaurant, standards are top notch and the staff are the best we've ever encountered at Orlando. If you go ask for Reuben or Joe........both were absolutely great with kids of all ages, very attentive and keep a supply of kids drinks and color books / quiz books coming.

The food was FABULOUS!!!!!..more to follow when I get a report done.
