Traveling to DL in August with DS. He loves getting pictures and autographs from the characters. Any helpful hints on special places to find characters would be appreciated.

Well these might be more for girls but here are a few tips:

Ariel is always in her little shell. It is to the right side of the castle so istead of going in walk around it like you are heading to the matterhorn.

Then on the left side of the castle before going in they usually have a princess and also walking in Ariel's Grotto they have them.

Snow White can usually be found by the wishing well on the right hand side of the castle.

Once arounf three pm we were leaving and there were a ton of characters at the beginning of main street by the train depot. All at once there was, Wendy, Captain Hook, Peter Pan, Tigger, Chip & Dale, Eeyore and Minnie.

Also toon town has characters floating around.

And we saw Buzz and Jessie in a photo spot by BTMRR

Hope that helps a little

Is this true since they started Princess Fantasy Faire? I hope so...princess:

^^^^^^

This is where I could find them almost everyday in May 2006

I will be back next week I could let you know

Yup - Ariel is definitely at the shell a lot (but not all the time) - nice perk for princess lovers. Pluto around the jail in toontown and other strolling. Buzz comes out at the Buzz ride now and then and Woody can be found around the Petting Zoo area - and Goofy will walk from that area down to the boats and back. Winnie the Pooh and friends at the Pooh ride in Critter Country. Head to DCA at the Pier too and you should see Chip and Dale and sometimes Mickey & Minnie at the front entrance by the waterfall. Lots of characters around the Hollywood pictures backlot - they change regularly too.

Also, if you are there when the park opens or the 1/2 hr. before it opens there are always lots of characters in the area before main street. Usually a princess, mickey or goofy or pluto are among some that we've seen there.

borrowed this from another similar post I replied to :goodvibes

We seen the Cars 2 days in a row nearly at the same spot in DCA on our last trip, once was across from golden dreams, the other time they were coming out from the big doors by burger invasion. It was really cool to see them driving down the street :lmao:

As for DCA characters, we seen: Meet the Robinson characters, The Incredibles, Sulley from Monsters Inc, Stitch, Goofy, Goliath (from Jojos circus ds 5 was thrilled!) Alice (hubby was thrilled  )erm that's all I can think of right now. They were almost all at the backlot area.

DL chars: Mickey, Minnie, Donald, Goofy (all in their yomd outfits) in town square. Mickey, Minnie, Goofy, Pluto, Donald (toontown), Alice, Madhatter (in coca cola corner), Hook, Peterpan, Pinnochio, Fairy godmother, tigger, chip, minnie, max (at minnie & friends char breakfast) Capt Jack was out in New Orleans Square, We caught Dale out near city hall, Cruella was nearby as well but the kids wouldn't go near her, Pooh & Eeyore were in critter country, and we seen tink, belle, beast, timon, fairie (from cinderella I think), cinderella, sleeping beauty, Ariel was absent the day we seen the parade... those were all in the parade of dreams...

We were on a mission to fill up our autograph books, which we did plus had to buy a small one to catch the extras lol. We did most of the meets & 2 character breakfasts which had about 5 or more characters each. All these were out the week of 4-13 to 4-20. Also a good idea is to stop by city hall in the morning if you have a particular char you'd like to meet and they can tell you where they will be & when. We had to track Alice down this way since we got her pic on the first day but the pen broke and we couldn't get her autograph, we finally got her autograph to go in our book in dca the next day :woohoo:

Have a wonderful trip :thumbsup2

THANKS to all....This is a huge help.

WDW is more of my "home turf" if I can help anyone out, drop me a PM

Except for Ariel, all the princesses are now at the Princess Fantasy Faire. Even the non-princess females like Pocahontas and Mulan are usually found there.

In DCA, there is the animation building on the Hollywood backlot area. We've seen lots of characters in the building or the area around it - Pixar characters, Incredibles, Mary Poppins, Cinderella (3 different days!), Belle, Woody, Mickey, Goofy...

Aside from the character breakfasts, we saw a lot of the characters in Toon Town. We also saw Mickey and Minnie on Main Street several times.

At DCA we saw Sulley and Mrs. Incredible at the Hollywood backlot. Have fun!

Oh forgot - Sorcerer Mickey and Minnie have been popping up inside the building where Turtle Talk with Crush is at. My 2 year old was dawdling around where the bathrooms are (I was trying to get her out to leave) and they came right to us - told her they were going to take their break and stopped her from chasing them (Minnie addict) when Mickey turned around and motioned for her to come over to them. I almost cried!

Saw Mulan the last two trips in Frontierland too - go figure!

My son filled his autograph book no problem and without much waiting... The best way to get Micky and Minnie is to go to Toon town at or just after 10 just when they open, get Micky first then Minnie, at that time they are outside their houses with little or no queue. Donald was the hardest, we only saw him at around 0930am in front of what was the old Mr Lincoln theatre, the drawing studio/Turtle Crush in CP was a good place to get a range of charactors, outside splash is where you can get Pooh bear etc, one queue gets you all the pooh charactors, as I recall it was about 9am they came out, we made the mistake on a previous visit of getting our photos having just got off splash, ok if you want photos that look like you peed your pants...

Lol kiwitravel, hadn't thought of the splash pics - lol...

Another good place to check is City Hall, when you enter if you check with them, they have a list of where all characters will be and when. Not bad to check in - especially if there are some in particular that you really want.

Do they list what characters might be out and about in DCA too? (Maybe not at City Hall; not sure what the equivalent is to City Hall in that park)

Also, does anyone know if the Little Einsteins characters are anywhere at the parks? My 2yo DD is nuts about June. :) Thanks!
