Good places for Bkfast in DL

I am looking for good places to eat breakfast in Disneyland park, table service or counter.

I recommend the River Belle Terrace (counter service). You can take your breakfast outside and eat while overlooking the Rivers of America.

Carnation Cafe and Cafe Orleans are both table service restaurants and will take PS reservations. I'll be trying Carnation Cafe on our next visit.

We always take at least one morning for breakfast at the Carnation Cafe. The food is good, the service is great, and it's fun having breakfast outdoors along Main Street as everyone is coming in for a day in the park. It's also great having a late lunch here during the parade..

I will also add that Blue Ribbon Bakery on Main Street has lots of nice fresh baked goods, coffee, etc. in the morning. Also, The Tomorrowland Terrace has breakfast items, they have croissant sandwiches, a breakfast platter, fruit plate and french toast sticks on the menu (according to allearsnet). I have eaten there in the past and its usually very good. But I prefer the Riverbelle Terrace for the Mickey pancakes and nice views!

Over at DCA the Pacific Wharf used to serve breakfast, don't know if they still do or not. Since that park opens later, sometimes its 10:00 and nearing lunch before they open, most if not all the restaurants don't generally serve breakfast.

I completely agree with you on this one. Sorry to say this but the CMs are really lazy and rude the few times I have been there in the past couple of months. Its not like there is much to the menu but it took 4 CMs to read the piece of paper on the tray for a Mark Twain with sausage and Mickey Pancakes. I kept getting regular stack of pancakes and Mark Twain w/bacon. I corrected them each time and still couldn't get my order right. Finally I had to raise my voice as the line was really backing up and the 4 CMs were just standing around complaining about being at work so early. The one girl that actually corrected my order (w/some serious attitude) shoved our tray and shoved the next tray too hard where it hit my side as we were leaving. I knew I should have complained but I was going to lose it and I wasn't going to start yelling with my son there. Did I also mention it took 3 CMs to figure out the woman in front of me just ordered a fruit plate and it took them a couple of times to get it right. Seriously ...how hard is it?

Its a shame too because that is our favorite place to have breakfast. We had breakfast with my parents at Carnation Cafe and it wasn't too bad. The Buffet at Plaza Inn is good (is that still around?). I wanted to try Cafe Orleans this weekend with my other son but we never made it. Hopefully next weekend

River Belle Terrace and Carnation Cafe have my vote for different reasons.

Love the relaxing, river atmosphere of the River Belle Terrace. The first morning of my trip in the parks, I HAVE to go to the RBC for my Mickey Mouse pancakes. It is always a relaxing way to start my trip.

The Carnation Cafe has wonderful food and it is fun to people-watch on Main Street. I love the cafe atmosphere (I really don't know how to describe it) and my favorite food would have to be the crissaunt breakfast sandwich. So good and big (my mom & I usually split).

The character breakfast at the Plaza Inn can be fun, but the food isn't the greatest. If you want a character breakfast, go to Goofy's Kitchen. I felt that we got more character time, and the dancing was fun to watch too!

Although I am quite fond of the cinnamon rolls at the Blue Ribbon Bakery...

We really enjoyed Minnies for b-fast. Got to get the character meets out of the way and a nice hot b-fast.

My family would vote for the Blue Ribbon Bakery on Main Street. It has a great variety of baked goods. I don't eat any breads so I went across the street to the fruit cart and bought a fruit bowl. It was delicious! It is counter service. Tables and chairs are in the adjacent shops - the candy store. (Can't remember the name) There were plenty of tables and chairs available. Most people are in such a big hurry to get to the rides that it ends up to be a fairly quiet and relaxing breakfast.

I thought i would add my 2 cents. Twice we have eaten at the Carnation for Breakfast after EE.

We would ride 7-9 FL rides, pick up a FP at Indy or SM, ride a couple more rides (jungle ride, pirates, buzz or HM), pick up another FP (@ Indy, SM, Splash, or BTTMR)

So after 2 - 2:30 hours of rides & FP collecting, we then strolled down to the Carnation at 10:15 - 10:30am for a relaxing breakfast. I quoted the above items because my wife LOVED the Croissant Benedict & kiddo loved the jr. mickey waffles. (& i would get a cafe Mocha & eat off of both of theirs).

The first time, i also ordered the Granola Parfait (which was fantastic) & kiddo got the sticky buns (also great) & wife got the Benedict & it was too much food.

I mention all this because we ate a wonderful breakfast for about $18 bucks total (3 people) & watched the people walking down Main St., & both times Mickey led a marching band down Main St. and stopped in front of us. This will probably be a "tradition" for us on EE days.

I stopped in at the River Belle Terrace for breakfast and boy did I enjoy it.

I got the Steamboat which comes with three pancakes, eggs and sausage/bacon.
I also got a side of potatoes and an orange juice.

It was wonderful!
