Good place to watch Remember so a 6yr old can see?

I loved this fireworks show the one time we have gotten to see it so it will be a highlight of this trip. Where is a good place to see it from with a 6 yr old being able to see good too? Also, how long before might I have to save the spot? With no other night time shows will it be extra crowded? We will be there this Friday and Saturday. We may try to see it both nights even!

We've seen the fireworks from a lot of different angles. If you want your little one to see everything really well, then right in front of the castle seems best to me. While not my favorite way to invest time, I think we have done that twice, and from what I remember, we waited at least 2 hours each time. Admittedly, we always go during peak times. I would be wary of the lack of other nighttime shows during your visit.

If you're not worried about every detail, here are a couple of other options. The fireworks are very fun to watch from It's a Small World. You do not see any of the castle stuff, but the area is less congested and you don't have to be there nearly as early. We have gotten good views from here anywhere from 15-40 minutes before showtime depending on season and crowds. You can also get an ok view of the fireworks from near the Rivers of America. We have stayed after Fantasmic and watched from there. Not really sure what that view would be like right now, but I'm thinking maybe the walls around the river will be down by then and the area might not be so full of people since there's no Fantasmic.

We have also watched the fireworks from a bench somewhere near the Partner's statue and from various locations on Main Street. In those cases you are contending with lots of standing people and lots of trees. Those have not been the best experiences for us, and I mostly remember all the complaints of DS8 and DS10 about how poor the views were. Still, I always remind them they're in Disneyland and some fireworks and all the great music is better than nothing.

I actually really like watching the fireworks by the carousel right behind the castle. No, it's not really the full SCOPE of the show, but my kids think it's cool to be "surrounded" by the fireworks

I think it may be better on the South West side of the hub, you get a comprhensive view of the show when you can see both the castle and matterhorn.

Last Friday night we camped out directly in front of the castle. Maybe 1 1/2 to 2 hours early. But it was SOOOO WORTH IT!!! Take a blanket to sit on. We took bubbles and snacks and glow necklaces for the kids. Filled up our coffees for the grown ups. It was so awesome and very memorable. The best part is we could sit to watch the whole show instead of standing like you have to do in some many other places.

Last Friday night we camped out directly in front of the castle.

Just wanted to add, that I have sat in the street before. The time I have been there CMs have instructed everyone in the street to stand and then step forward. Just FYI.

We did not sit on the street. We sat on the sidewalk right in front next to the churro cart. In the street you have to stand.

Totally agree - it's a great way to rest your legs and enjoy some snacks. Not sure if you have a stroller, but I had DD5 stand in the stroller and I put my arms around her waist so she could see and we didn't have to hold her. We sat on the curb behind the street that passes in front of the castle so we got the advantage of the extra 6" once they made everybody stand.

My mom and sister took a trip and I told them that it was worth it to wait, so they gave it a try and were so glad they did.
