Looking for some input before I finish this.
A few months ago, I designed and stitched a cross stitch pattern of Leo's mom for Leo and Gabi's breeder. That girl is one of the breeder's favorite cats, and she loved it.
Well, I showed the pattern to my two best friends (an engaged couple) before I sent it off, and they made the comment (in a longing type way) that it looked just like their Kleo, who they lost about 2 years ago (oddly, almost the same time we were fighting for and lost Sage
). Their reaction was kinda longing.
So, I decided to make a pattern of Kleo for them. I got a picture of her when I was taking care of their cats a few weeks ago, and am turning it into a cross stitch pattern for them. She cross-stitches as well, BTW. And they had several pictures of Kleo around the house, as well as a "memory" box with her name, picture, and a couple of favorite toys.
My question is, if you cross stitched and were given a personally-designed pattern of a beloved but lost pet, would you appreciate it, or not like the person who gave it to you since you lost that pet? I'm *pretty* sure they'd like it, about 80 or 90% sure, especially since they display some pictures of Kleo all the time, but I wanted someone else's input to make sure I wasn't about to make a mistake.
Thanks!
