Hi All,

Not sure if there is a thread already for this but I’m looking at going to Florida either next year or the year after and just wondering if anyone could recommend an off-site hotel that has good bus links to the WDW parks as well as universal studios?

WDW and Universal are close to 20 miles apart. Doubtful you’ll find somewhere with bus service to both.
😂 I don’t mean to sound rude or blunt but of course there is!!! I know of one for certain but was wondering what people would recommend

Any hotel that offers bus service to both parks will typically have minimal - not good - service. Typically they offer two or three buses in the morning, and two or three back in the afternoon/evening. T

The buses will probably go to only one, maybe two, Disney parks. Ditto for the return. If you miss the last bus, oh well. On the other hand, all Universal transportation is at one point.

Your best options would be:
  • Stay at the one hotel you're aware of.
  • Stay on Hotel Plaza Boulevard and use Mears or a taxi or a rideshare to and from Universal.
  • Stay on Hotel Plaza Boulevard the nights you visit Disney, then move to a Universal area hotel to visit those parks.

FantasyWorld Vacation Villas do. Also to SeaWorld. For UO, it was early a.m. (7:30?) and then return at 8 p.m. We ended up.just using the shuttle one way and then Ubering the other as it was too long of a day for us in the August heat. The Disney shuttles (to Epcot usually) were a little more frequent...3 or 4 each direction per day. The shuttles are usually shared with other resorts and had to be booked (free) the night before.

Magic Moment resort may also offer shuttles to both. We picked up or dropped off there but not sure if that was the UO shuttle or Disney.

I don't want to sound rude or blunt but you asked about good bus service. How do you define good? Every 20 minutes? Every 30? Hourly? I certainly wouldn't call 1 or 2 trips in the am and 1 or 2 return trips in the pm good.

Thank you! Informative post

It was informative, but does that sort of bus service meet your definition of good? It doesn't me, and it wouldn't for a lot of people. But then I don't think any off site resorts offer good bus service. Being dropped off in the middle of the parking lot with no shelter is no my definition of good bus service. Neither is being dropped off and having to transfer to get to the park you want.

How are you defining good bus service/ Frequent? Cheap?

We tried using an off-site hotel bus service once. It really didn't go well. Not only were the buses limited to 2 runs in the morning and 2 runs at night, they also picked up at other hotels. After a day we rented a car. I've never seen a post where anyone praises the off-site bus service.

It appears from the thread title that the OP is seeking a good hotel with [any kind of] bus service. I'm not sure whepther the two hotels mentioned are good, bad, or mediocre. Or what the OP considers good. Trip Advisor didn't let me find the Fantasy World, and that was so annoying I didn't search for the other one.

Now,the first post does instead state [no quality level, just "a"] hotel with good bus service to two separate theme parks. So, two different goals. Ultimately, the answer is no.

going back on the thread and see stuff like this 😂 what is good, I mean reliable. However due to covid and other financial reasons I’m looking at driving due to wanting to take advantage of off property food
