I went back a while and did some searches and couldn't find a thread on this, so if it has been discussed recently, I apologize. We will be going with our dd3 and dd2 this fall and don't want to overdo the ADR thing as we need more flexibility in our schedules than those provide. At the same time, we don't want to be eating brugers and chicken strips twice a day for a week. Can you all give us some recommendations on good places to eat that don't require ADR's?

Edit - to clear up any confusion, I am looking for counter service and/or sit-down restaurants that do not ever take ADRs, not those that might not be booked at a particular time. Sorry for any lack of clarity on my part.

I think it depends on the time of year and the day of the week....you can always call your resorts conceirge to find out what places and which times are available.

Lunches seem to be the easiest to get into

Well I rang to make some ADR's and the CM said ESPN on boardwalk doesnt take ADR's and PLANET HOLLYWOOD wont take them until September 2nd

I didn't know Planet Hollywood was going this route - they used to be a walk-in only. Are they not taking any ADR's until 9/2, or are they only taking ADR's for visits after 9/2?

Beaches and Cream is a TS that doesn't accept ADRs. All counter service is walk up only.

Check out the menus on allearsnet.com to find CS that have more than the standard burger fare.

Cosmic Rays at MK is CS, but they offer a nice variety of food, from hot dogs to pulled pork to chicken and ribs....not to assume, but when I saw the ages of your children I figure a meal or 2 will be eaten there ;) ESPN as mentioned does not, nor does the Fountain in the Dolphin..( but they DO take AAA for 20% discount)
I also think that Sunshine seasons at Epcot has a decent variety of CS food.

I think trails end accepts ADR's, but is one of the eaisier to get into without ADRS. Some of the Resort TS also take walk up.

Flame Tree Barbeque in the Animal Kingdom is a counter service with great food. They also take the DDE card, I believe.

Wolfgang Puck Express in DTD.... one of the best (if not the best) CS at WDW.
