Hello Disboards gang. I have some good news to share. As I was getting ready for the day. I decided to weigh myself to see were I stand on my plan to lose weight. Well I got the supprise that made me shocked and happy at the same time. I lost 7 pounds in 1 week, going from 203 lbs last week to 196 this week. That's because I walk around the streets of Delaware Ohio before I go to work ,and I walk on the treadmill when I go home in the evenings. My goal is to lose 15lbs by mid july before I go to Virginia Beach.

Congratulations. Stay encouraged. You will hit your goal in no time.

Congratulations! I hope you reach your goal soon.

Congratulations! I hope you reach your goal soon.

I'm still on cloud 9. I'm. Finaly doing it. Losing 7 lbs is an awesome thing. I will keep you all informed on my progress

Thank for the words of encouragment. I'm soo happy.

Great job! Are you doing a specific weight loss plan? I happen to like Weight Watchers online if you are looking for a more structured plan. I, like you, only wanted to lose a bit so I set my goal at 15 lbs and I also lost 7 lbs during the first week. After that it was anywhere from 1 - 2 lbs per week and it's so satisfying to know that you're headed in the right direction. Since February I have been able to shed slight more than 15lbs with a couple of bumps here and there (special occasion eating/drinking for the most part). But overall, it has been great!

Best of luck to you!

I'm just walking 2-3 miles every morning. And cutting back on fast food and junk food

That is a GREAT blast-off week! Keep up the exercise, and make sure you're getting the right amount of calories (or points, as it were) to keep up your energy and health! I know you'll feel so much better as you work through it.

Just be ready to have your weight loss slow down over the coming weeks. You'll still lose, but don't get discouraged if it gets to 1-2 pounds a week! That's just the right track!

Wowza! Fantastic. That is great motivation, right?

I'm so happy for you! I'm in the same battle, so I know how much that first loss means. Keep it up and don't let any plateaus discourage you!
