Good News For Glasgow Travellers

Booked on them already for August, and we don't even live in Scotland! Can't wait, we've opted for the NO FRILLS economy option, so no meals, drinks etc. But hey, when it costs £1450 approx for the 4 of us, it allows us to spend more money on nicer hotels!!!!

In conjunction with Virgin flying from Glasgow next summer and Delta starting to fly to Atlanta from Edinburgh this is all good news for Scottish travellers and I hope they all do well - might make Continental reduce their horrendously over-priced flights from Edinburgh.

We still pay a hefty price during Scottish school holidays (especially when kids pay the same as adults) but the more competition there is the more likely this is to change.

It will be more beneficial to those in the North of England who have different school holidays or those who can travel outwith school holidays - in the same way we always fly from the North of England to avoid the Scottish school supplement.

Personnally Globespan is my least favourite airline as they have changed the flight times on me too often and at this point in time I wont book with them. This may be better on a daily service so I'll keep my eye on them.

...and only a 30" seat pitch. Yoiks!

You're right though, the no frills is very cheap. Please let us know how it goes.

And just out of interest, does anyone have any idea what percentages of people are booking no-frills, premium class and business on these flights?

Any extra choice is always good news in my book :thumbsup2

As this takes off it will be good to hear peoples experiences :)

Will do. And yes, it is cheap, so whilst enduring the 30" seat pitch, I'll keep repeating to myself that it's direct (well, not that direct since we live near Manchester!) and we've saved over a thousand pounds on the next cheapest flight! May get funny looks from the other passengers, but who cares!!!!
