Rajah, I have sent you an e-mail. When it rains, it pours when it comes to finances. Houses are a never ending money pit, imo and can drain a checkbook quickly. Hang in there. I know this is all going to work out.

Shelling out $2000 for anything, a child or pet, is a lot of money when you aren't prepared for it.
I'd be questioning it also. They didn't say the surgery was the only way yet. I'd be looking to see if there was something less invasive, less expensive first.

Actually, at this point, not doing surgery is getting dangerous. Whatever is the problem needs to be removed if possible.

I know that I am sounding like a broken record here but my mom has used A&M for a couple of her dogs and have been very happy.

I hope you reconsider taking fklhou's advice. The cost would probably be much less and I'm sure the surgery would be done by someone with a lot of experience and only observed by students. It's at least worth a phone call.
