We were in Epcot again today and checked out the Anna and Elsa situation - the more continuous meet and greets are working!

We were there at 1:15 and they were quoting 2 1/2 hour wait to see them.

When we were there on Thursday there was a sectioned off area near their doorway - it held the "11:00 group, the 12:00 group and the 1:00 group". Today that same area was a "one hour wait" as in when you were moved forward into that area you wait time was then an hour or less. People were still lined up by the church but the line was a LOT shorter!

If you're a bit confused - when we were there on Thursday they were meeting for 30 / 40 minutes then taking a 20 / 30 minute break and then meeting again. Now they appear to be meeting basically continuously (with 5 minute breaks every 30 minutes or so). This is really helping the line situation!

Sounds like a move in the right direction! Now, if only they would make a FP+ for it...

that would be great! but sadly in their current set up (meeting place) there is no way to put in FP. I hope they build them a new spot (hint hint Disney we'd love to have an Olaf!!) where they can have FP - OR put them in the old Princess Location in Town Square Theater (MK) - where they can have FP

Kenny has on his site that Tinkerbell is moving to the Town Square Theater at the end of the month. She will be gaining FP+ but losing her fairy friend.

I heard that the continuous Anna/Elsa meet and greet will also be extending their time until 9pm at night (they cut off before around 7pm.) They are still beginning at 11am, but are supposed to begin at 9am at a later date.

Sounds like the recent casting call was a success and is allowing Anna and Elsa to work longer hours and take shorter breaks. ;)

I saw that on Kenny's site (after someone pointed it out to me) but I talked to a CM with Tinker Bell - she said those plans were on hold (indefinitely) - I mentioned Kenny's site and she knew about it but stood by her information. So not saying Kenny is wrong but it would make a lot of sense if they went 'plan B' and didn't move Tink (she works where she is) but did do an Anna and Elsa set up there (at least for a bit...)

I'll be watching to see what they decide to do - we loved meeting Anna and Elsa and would love to do so again in the future but would not love to wait 2 1/2 hours again!

I saw Tink and Peri on Saturday and did the same thing as you. I asked a CM if they knew about the move-- we mainly dropped in on Saturday in case it was the last time to see Tink in Adventureland and we wanted to sort of say goodbye to Peri, and the CM I spoke with seemed completely clueless. He first thought I meant they were moving Mickey and was like 'no way they spent too much money on that', but when I elaborated I meant the Princesses old spot he said 'let me go check' and then he never came back. LOL! So who knows. I think Kenny is usually pretty well informed, but only time will tell. I think even if Tink doesn't move (something I personally hope doesn't happen), I don't think they will move Anna and Elsa there anytime soon (though they should!)

And I agree, I have seen Anna and Elsa twice so far, the first time waiting about an hour before the movie came out, and then waited 2 1/2 hours about a week and a half ago. I'm much more anxious to go back now that the wait will be a bit less (since I will have my 2 year old in tow. ) :)

I agree Kenny is usually very well informed - so I hate to even sort of question his info. The CM I spoke to did say that was the original plan but that it was "on hold indefinitely" which would indicate that Kenny was right but they might be on plan B. I'll be in MK tomorrow afternoon, Wednesday afternoon and Thursday morning - we'll see if we can find anything out about Tinker Bell's location.

We met Anna and Elsa before the movie came out too (are you following us around LOL) - that was a nice short wait comparatively! I knew when I read where they were going to put them that it wasn't a good location (where would they put the line - answer is of course outside - I'd hate to see that thing when it is bucketing rain!).

We saw someone a few days ago walking around DHS in a Kenny Character App t-shirt - have to admit I wondered if it was Kenny.....

Haha! Didn't know you had a stalker, did you? :rotfl: I guess great minds think alike. And had I known then what I know now, I definitely would've visited them more often and bought more Frozen merchandise before it sold out.

And well, hopefully the plans with Tink changed. What I don't think Disney often thinks about when forming queue lines are those of us with small children and strollers. Tink has been a perfect spot for us to go when our daughter is asleep in her stroller. She can take a nap and we can grab a dole whip and wait in the air conditioning during the 30-45 minute wait, and then our daughter can wake up in plenty of time to see the character. In Town Square and Fairytale Hall and such they make you park the stroller and then you have to stand and juggle your child while you wait however long. I find the queues like Tink and Tiana and such far more 'user friendly' for those of us with small kids. And if the weather is nice, the same goes for Anna and Elsa, but yeah, during these cold snaps and rain, not so much. And ugh, I can't imagine waiting 3 hours in the dead of Summer. Thank goodness they are doing something about the line.

For the moment, these two ladies appear to be even more popular than TSM. It makes complete sense for WDW to take the necessary steps to improve access.

I suspect they would prefer to keep them in Norway for now, but moving them to Main Street would greatly improve the number of guests per hour that could see them.

This is great news! Now hopefully they'll take another step in the right direction- and put Anna and Elsa in both Epcot and MK! Bonus if they somehow pulled that off before I pop in there- I'd rather tackle them in MK than Epcot since it's out of the way. Either way, I'm just happy to hear the wait times are going down!

(On the down side, this does leave me with less time to color while in line... ;))

no new Tink updates - spoke to several character CMS

- one was new had no clue

- one had heard the rumors and "had lots of people asking her about the move" but she didn't seem to actually know anything (or if she did she hid it well)

- three others seemed more in the know but would not say anything - apparently they are not supposed to let that cat out of the bag.

My best guess is for some reason they are not telling people which might mean it's up in the air (OK I am really hoping they put Anna and Elsa there so I might be biased). I can't think of a good reason to "keep it a secret" if Tink is indeed moving at the end of the month.

If anyone there now could keep me updated the next couple of days???......my DD's 8 and 4 are crazy about Anna and Elsa and I just wasn't going to wait over 2 hours to meet them. We leave Saturday and our epcot day is Sunday This is such great news:):)

we're still here - *might* hop over to Epcot tomorrow for lunch - if we do I'll check in on Norway (it's becoming an obsession :worship: ) and let you know

Went over to Norway yet again today - mixed news

First CM quoted a wait of 4 - 5 hours

Second CM (closer to the actual doorway) said 3 - 4 hours

After we had lunch the CMs were saying 3 - 3 1/2 hours

Interesting facts

The line was as long as we've ever seen it - there was one line looping around in front of the main meet / greet area. A second line ran from just beyond the bakery around the church and over to the bathrooms. Then a third line was started while we were there - it ran perpendicular to the 2nd line towards Mexico. When they started the 3rd line they were saying 3 - 3 1/2 hours.

There are no longer broken down meeting times - they meet more or less continuously (with very short breaks). CM near the door said "ignore" the meeting times.

I asked if things were slowing down at night - she said mostly "no" generally count on at least a 2 hour wait.....

we're heading home tomorrow - hopefully others are coming down and willing to check and report in on Anna and Elsa.

Thanks for keeping your finger on the pulse of this very popular M&G this last week or so. Looks like these two may have some serious staying power to command lines that long. Neither Merida nor even Rapunzel (with Flynn!) ever got this bad that I recall.

Hope you had a great trip and safe travels home!

That does not sound promising:sad2::sad2: I will be there sunday and wend and will check out the waits both days. We have two DD's that will be dressed up as Anna and Elsa and would love a chance to meet them but I'm just not willing to spend precious park time waiting that long. Didn't want to wait longer than an hour....maybe 90 min, But I'm definetly NOT going to wait OVER 2 hours

Mesaboy - thanks and yes, we had a GREAT time! Looks like there is snow back home so that should be interesting...

MialovesAriel - I hate to tell you this but you might as well go in warned - I've never seen the wait less than 2 hours. Even getting in line at Rope Drop for the "11:00 meet and greet" (back when they did specific times) we still waited 2 hours and 20 minutes before we actually got to meet Anna and Elsa.

One of the CMs I spoke to today said they were "trying" to make the meet and greets start at 9 am (which I've been saying is the way to go!) but the sticking point is that World Showcase doesn't open until 11. I hope by Sunday they've decided that indeed they need to do still more to get the lines down (they would really prefer everyone not be standing in a long line) and they'll take further action. My fingers are crossed for you!

So how is this affecting the evening lines? We will be there Sunday and my game plan was to try an evening time and if that didn't work go at rope drop on our next Epcot day. Now that it's continuous are the lines still 2+ hours in the evening??

so I've been told - also CMs have told me (not confirmed by me as we haven't been there that late) that the line is cut off at 7 pm at the latest (they will cut it off earlier by some judgment if it's a certain length.)
