The good news: I just found out I'm pregnant!!! My last pregnancy ended in a miscarriage over 3 years ago. After years of waiting and lots of disappointment, this is fantastic, exciting news!! :teeth: We feel very blessed.

The bad news: we're going to have to cancel our Feb 2005 Disney cruise. :( (For those doing the math: it's true that Feb is more than 9 months away, but I don't want to bring an infant on board, nor would I leave my new bundle behind.) I'm not cancelling yet -- with my history, I want to wait a while before doing so. The fact is, I'll really need the cruise if the worst happens... I thought of squeezing a cruise in before I reach 24 weeks, but availability is slim and costs are high (summer), so we just can't make it happen.

Any prayers for a healthy, full-term pregnancy are welcome. I will be living vicariously through you as you tell of your cruise adventures!! Happy sailing to all! :wave2:

You got it! Sending lots and lots of good thoughts your way. I hope in a few years we will hear about how excited your little one was to take his/her first DCL cruise. :bounce: :Pinkbounc :bounce: :bounce:

Sorry to hear that you're going to have to cancel, but hec . . .what a great reason to! Congrats!!!

Yes most definitely you have my prayers for a healthy baby.

I had a miscarriage with my first pregnancy. I know you are scared about this one. But I hope you have the same track record as me. The result of my second pregnancy is now 9 years old and the apple of his mom's eye.

If you have to push your cruise back a year, it will be worth it because you will have twice as much fun planning for and cruising with your tot.
TNRobin- that is a sweet sentiment you offered and I will be praying for such an outcome in this case.:D

Your good news is so wonderful! Congratulations! I'll be hoping that all goes well! Cancelling a cruise for such a wonderful reason isn't that bad especially when you know how much fun it will be to have a little one to take to WDW and DCL!

Best wishes!

Donna

Congratulations and my thoughts and prayers are with you.

Just think of cruisin' with your little bundle of joy.

A cruise is great fun, but a baby is much better! Congratulations!

By the way, though many people on these boards disagree, I agree with you: I liked to stay close to home when my girls were infants. During those first months when you're not well rested and you're still learning about one another, travel just isn't a top priority. Plus, you'll have years and years for travel.

::MickeyMo Ima Princess: CONGRATULATIONS !!!
Hey, neighbor, we're from Newport News. That's great about your baby !! You can always go on another cruise!! God Bless You through this pregnancy ! Virginia::MinnieMo

There could be no greater reason on earth that I can imagine that would be a happier reason to cancel. My prayers are with you!!! :D

Prayers and pixie dust on your pregnancy.

CONGRADULATIONS !!!

The same thing happened to us about 2 years ago. We sailed just after 9-11 and Disney had started the idea of rebooking while on board for discounts. We had booked to travel on the very first Western 7-day DCL trip, but DW was going to be 1 week "too" pregnant to be allowed on board.

It happened again about 2 months ago. We were signed up for a 7 day this November and had to postpone because of another pregnancy. Unfortunately this second time ended in a miscarriage. But because of the miscarriage, we've moved our next cruise up to this September. That way, we are now "safe" regardless of what happend in regards to this subject.

Congratulations!! I just found out I am pregnant too!! I'm due Jan. 5th 2005. Let's hope we both have wonderful healthy pregnancies!! We were hoping to sail in December, but we'll have to put it off for a little while also! Good luck to you!!:jumping1: :jumping1: :jumping1:

Congratulations! I can't think of a better reason to have to cancel your cruise!

Awwww... you guys are gonna make me cry! Thanks for all of your kind words and prayers!

eagmommy -- Congrats to you, too!! :teeth:

Of course you guys are right -- if there's a good reason to cancel a cruise, this is it! :) And I have no doubts that we'll be on DCL in the future. :sunny:

Thanks again,
