Ok, I don't think I posted this a while back, but I still thought I'd share an update. Over my Christmas break, I found out my best friend from high school had leukemia and was having to take her last semester of college off to receive chemo. We hadn't talked in a while, so I felt weird calling and saying, oh, so heard you've got leukemia. You know, a little awkward. I read it in my church bulletin (and I lost it in Sunday school, because that really is a horrible way to hear bad news). Today I saw her on AIM and was able to talk to her on there for probably two hours or so. She's doing well, and in remission. She's going to graduate in May thanks to some wonderful professors helping her out (long story, but she meets all the requirements) and despite all her time off. She's still taking chemo to ensure that it stays in remission. AND, the best news: She's still getting married June 26th! I'm just so happy that she's doing so well and we're going to make a better effort to keep in touch now and I'm just super relieved...Just some really wonderful news, really helping bring up my spirits in the midst of all this ice. :sunny:
