Good news about extra FP+

This may be old news, but it was new to me. Sorry if it's a repeat. As you know when you've used your 3 FP+ you can select additional FP+ at a kiosk. And those lines can be really long! I was in the park this weekend and heard (from a reliable source) you'll soon be able to use your MDE app to select them. That's good news to me!

there have been rumors about app functionality for the 4th and beyond FP since they allowed more than 3 FP+ at the kiosks last April/may...at this point I'm not holding my breath for that functionality any time soon. If it happens very soon, I'll be happy to eat my words though...that is one change I would very much like

I'm not sure the person was at liberty to tell me, and I'd hate to get someone yelled at. So I'd rather not say, just in case. But he said the feature was already finished. Just waiting to be rolled out. Now when that will be? I have no idea. He said he didn't know. But the fact that it's ready makes me think it may not be that long.

It would make sense for this to happen eventually as everyone is on their smartphone using the app anyways.

We're already able to change FP+s from the smartphone app on the day of the FP+ so I don't see what the hold up is with letting us select the 4th FP+.

2 trips ago we were part of the group that trailed FP+. I am pretty sure we could make additional fast passes from our phone once we used the first 3. Hopefully they roll it out soon

This is something I have expected to happen ever since they made the 4th FP+ available. In all honesty, I am somewhat surprised that it has taken them this long to get it done. One of the big points of the whole FP+ system was that people wouldn't waste all that time criss crossing the parks to get FP's. Less time wandering about to collect FP's means more time to spend money

I wouldn't say everyone is on their smartphone using the app. I have smartphone and don't use the app since I want to enjoy the parks. The only reason I carry my phone with me in the parks is for the clock on it as I don't wear a watch. But, if the fourth FastPass is going to be available, I might attempt it at some point.

I think, as I understood it, the kiosk will still be available for those who prefer to use it. And sometimes the line has been really short and only took a minute or two. It's when the park is crazy (like today) that it will be a nice feature!

We were visiting at the beginning of January and made a 4th FP+ on the app, after using our other 3. It was January 2nd. It was glitchy at first (didn't know it wasn't supposed to work at all). We made a FP for Buzz while sitting inside the Dumbo playground queue. We had no problems using it either.
