GOOD Neighbor hotels

we are interested in the hotels something about good neighbor

we would like to know are they safe, clean,

do they have kitchenetts free breakfast pools spas...

just wondering

Our last trip we stayed at the Hilton Garden Inn, which is a Good Neighbor Hotel.

Our room had a microwave and refrigerator. There was a pool and a jacuzzi; DH used the jacuzzi and said it was fine though not as hot as he would have liked, but I believe the health department makes the hotels regulate the temperature of their pools & spas.

We paid $115 and the rate included breakfast. No charge for parking; and no charge for internet access.

Not sure if they had a shuttle. But the hotel is adjacent to Embassy Suites and the Hyatt . . . maybe you could just walk to the other hotels and take their shuttles?

The room and the hotel were clean and I definitely felt safe. The lobby had a nice fireplace and they had cookies at night. There is a Buca de Beppo restaurant just across the parking lot, and we walked over and had a drink in their bar the night we drove in.

I have not yet been to disneyland in my adult life (going in April) so I can only tell you what I have learned from this board and my own research.

I have not researched any hotel not on Harbour...

Desert Inn and Suites-- micro and fridge and small (juice/coffee, muffin) breakfast, small indoor pool

Best Western Park Place Inn--- micro fridge breakfast pool (small if my memory servers)

tropicana- 1 item breakfast, pool

Howard johnson- micor, fridge, outdoor water play area for kids, pool, hot tub

Take a look at the Staybridge suites. Its about a mile from the resort. They have full kitchens and offer a full breakfast. I've stayed here twice. Gives you a great bang for your buck...

During my trip is Sept. I stayed at the Holiday Inn and Suites Anaheim on Walnut. It is a very nice hotel. It took me about 15 to walk from the Hotel to the ticket plaza for my magic morning but it is also the first stop/drop off on an ART route making it very convenient. There is also a Subway/Food Mart a short 3 min walk up the street.

The hotel was starting to go under renovation when I left so I don't know what it would be like now but the pool/hot tub area was nice and big to begin with so I can't imagine it would be anything less. I did have a few hiccups getting a room that I wanted to begin with that was all resolved and the staff was more than friendly.

I two second the Residence Inn Maingate. We've stayed there twice and it will be the family choice of hotel from now on. I'm not sure if it is an offical good neighbor hotel or not. But it is clean, they have kitchenettes (the hotel will grocery shop for you for the cost of the food), and they have a free hot breakfast buffet every morning and some evenings snacks as well. The pool is a little on the small side during the busy summer months but they also have a little kiddie pool off to the side and a hot tub aswell. You can even see the fireworks from some of the rooms. The rooms are a nice size and my DH loves their beds (me I find them to firm).
