Good Neighbor Hotels - HELP!!!

I am having such a hard time deciding on which good neighbor hotel to use. I have narrowed it down to the following:

Homewood Suites
Hampton Inn and Suites
Staybridge Suites
Desert Palms Hotel and Suites
Residence Inn Resort Area
Carousel Inn

We are a family of 5 so we really would like a suite. The important things are:

1. Safe and secure parking.
2. Very nice pool area (we plan on hanging out at the hotel pool for 2 days of our vacation).
3. Refrigerator.
4. Not too noisy.
5. Clean and comfortable.

Things that are not so important:

1. Closeness to Disney (we plan on taking the ART).
2. Breakfast included.
3. Conceriege service.

I think that is it. So, my questions are:

1. Has anyone had any experiences (good or bad) with the above hotels?
2. What is the parking like (also do you have to pay for parking)?
3. Is the pool area very nice?

with everything taken into consideration i would suggest marriott's residence inn resort area. it's everything you want with your room, they have a full kitchen with fridge, stove, microwave, toaster, utensils, dishwasher, pots/pans, etc., breakfast buffet is included with your stay, nightly reception with drinks and snacks, free parking, pretty decent size pool area, and a fairly new hotel that is very clean as most marriott are.

I've never stayed at the Res. Inn Resort Area, but have stayed at Res. Inn Maingate. It's closer in proximity to DLR... and I believe they offer all the same things as the Resort Area one. I believe they offer four of the five important things you're looking for. The pool being the one that might be questionable. But I can't speak much about the pool, as we haven't spend much time there. However, there are several different suites to choose from... all have full kitchens. I believe the hotel is a great place. They have a wonderful staff and I've never felt unsafe while visiting.

Additionally, it may help in your decision making process to know that Marriott guarantees they have the best price for any of their hotels. So whether you choose the Resort Area or Maingate Res. Inn... do a quick search on Expedia, Travelocity and Hotels.com to see who has the lowest rate. Then check to see what Marriott is offering. If you find one that is lower than Marriott, Marriott will give you that rate PLUS 25% off. I did just this for our upcoming stay in August. Res. Inn Maingate was going for $179/nite (for a 1-bedroom suite)... Expedia had it for $159. I emailed Marriott the information and less than three hours later they changed the price on my reservation to $119/nite!

Personally, I like the Residence Inn Maingate over the Resort Area. You'll be near the Garden Walk with new restaurants there, and if you like to walk you can walk to DLR - or take the ART if you prefer.

I'd recommend checking out the penthouse suite.

I like the pool area, dining area, outdoor barbecue area better at this property.

Either way can't go wrong with a Marriott Residence Inn, the thing I like about the resort area is that it's interior corridors, not a big fan of the outside ones but that's just my opinion.

We've stayed at the RI Resort Area 3 times. There are several restaurants right at or near the intersection of Harbor and Chapman as well as a Target if you need that. All well within walking distance.

I'll agree that either RI would be a great choice.
