We stayed at the Best Western DTD for a few hours when we got into Disney way too early to get our room at POFQ. I had been looking at this hotel as an option, but I'm super glad I didn't book it. It was fine for a rest stop for a few hours so we didn't tear each other apart from lack of sleep and too much travel, but I wouldn't want an extended stay there.
The room was clean-ish. There weren't any blood stains, but it wasn't particularly clean either and there was a skeevy feeling to the room...like there was stuff you couldn't see but made your skin crawl. The staff was
very nice, but....for less money we stayed onsite and had clean rooms that didn't have a "skin crawl" factor. Also, there was a time share lady in the lobby who was literally yelling "Are you checking in?" to people across the lobby as they walked in the doors. My brothers, who have too much manners sometimes said yes, so we spent about 15 minutes listening to her speel until I could manage the words "No, thank you" and "Goodbye" without flat out interrupting her.
One thing I can recommend about this DTD hotel was the view. Our room had an Epcot view, we could see the ball, Swan, Dolphin, etc. To the left of the balcony was Saratoga Springs. I loved the view, had we not have had that view, I never would have known I was on Disney property.
If you can stay onsite, I'd recommend it. If not, research using Trip Advisor or another resource with lots of recent consumer reviews of the hotels off-site, you'll get a pretty good idea of what the hotels are like from reading all the different accounts.
