I know this has nothing to do with WDW but this is one of the boards frequent most and I thought maybe I could some advice from some the locals. :goodvibes

In May, I will be driving to Oklahoma with DD & DS(alone!) to meet DH for our nephew's graduation. Its roughly a 27 hour drive and in the past we have stayed overnight in Cooksville but I would rather stay farther west, possibly Nashville. Somewhere clean, safe (big one!!), and not too expensive that isn't too far off of I-40. Thank you!!

And Merry Christmas!! :santa:

I travel to Nashville on business often and stay downtown, but not sure if you want to do that or not. I also get a good rate because of my work and I'm not sure what your thoughts of reasonable are. Many hotels in the downtown area have a parking fee for valet of $20, but many are close to self parking lots that range from $8-$12 for the day or overnight. The ones downtown include:
-Homewood suites, hot breakfast and weekday dinner between 5 and 7, I think that is the time
-Mariott, nothing included
-Holiday Inn Express, expanded continental breakfast

Just outside of downtown is Hotel Preston, its right off the inerstate at the Briley, may have mispelled that, Parkway exit. I don't think it includes breakfast or anything but its a quick on and off of I-40. Hotel Preston's website: http://www.hotelpreston.com/

We traveled to Nashville last June for the CMA fan Fest. We stayed at the Quality Inn and Suites in Mt. Juliet. It was clean and in a great location. It was myself, my DD and her girlfriend. Many nights we did not get back until late and never once did we feel unsafe. They have a nice breakfast. There is a shopping center across the street with stores and restaurants and a walmart down the street. Hope this helps.

We are staying at the Drury Inn just off 40 near the airport for the next 2 nights, and will let you know how it goes. With tax it is $105 and includes full breakfast and the evening appetizers/beverages.

Trip advisor rates it #2 of over 100 in the area.

At the airport exit, but on the opposite side of the Interstate are several nice hotels and I've always felt safe there. We've gotten good deals on Priceline a couple of times. I've also stayed at the Homewood Suites and Residence Inn. There is an Embassy Suites that friends have stayed at.

I'd stay on the west side of town, near Dickson. Morning traffic in the Nashville metro area is not always friendly. There's a Hampton Inn, Comfort Inn and some others at the Dickson exit.

On several trips back north, we've Pricelined a hotel in the airport area. Twice we've gotten a Marriott Courtyard on Elm Hill right off Briley Pkwy. Last time was a Holiday Inn (right next to the Briley Pkwy).

Both were clean. Enjoyed the breakfast at the Holiday Inn.

We always stay at Sheraton Music City; it's in an office park so not a lot of traffic around it. Just off I-440, nice rooms and friendly staff.
