Well, my girls off to high school. I can't believe she's old enough yet. But, today is the first day. She was so nervous, it's a lot bigger school than she's used to.
How is everyone doing this morning? All the kids in school?

What a monumental occasion! I hope she has a great day.

My kids don't start school until September 5th. Nobody is looking forward to it. :confused3

thank you, and Go figure. :teeth:

That is my biggest fear when they start the 'big' school. Chloe is starting grade 5 this year so she is still in the little school.
Our school doesn't start till Sept 5th so we still have a few weeks left.
I'm sure she will do okay, Laurie.

thank you, I am too. She's ready for it, I think. It's just scary going from a school of barely 300 to one with over 2,000.

Does Chloe's school end at 5th grade?

hey Pop Daddy, how's the coffee this morning?

My "baby" started HS yesterday. She made me walk her to her homeroom. I think I was just as nervous as she was. She called me from the bus yesterday afternoon, "MOM! I survived my first day of HS!!!" She said she loved it though. I still can't believe she is in HS. *sigh* The time has flown.

She also told me when I got home from work. "Momma, I was SO scared! But don't tell anyone, ok???" lol

Glad she had a great day.

Some poor freshman had a total breakdown in one of the halls of my highschool the other day.

Yes it ends at gr 5 and then she will go to a middle school of 800. That alone scares me. (school is not a good one.) She is extremely good in language and we are encouraging her to go to a Extended French school in Gr 7(MUCH better school). They teach half the day in French. In Canada it is a plus in the job market if you have 2 languages.

Kelsea wants to take french, they messed up her schedule and has spanish right now. She's going to change it. Around here though spanish would help more. But she's not planning on being around here. She wants to travel.

She'll do fine. :)
