Good Morning America vs The Today Show vs The Early Show

I use to watch the TODAY show only. However, the biased reporting really got to me, so now I flip between GMA and The Early Show when I'm home. Honestly, though, I don't get to see either very often since I leave the house about the time they come on to go to work.

I'm not being sarcastic, but what is the bias on the Today Show?

I see it about 3 or 4 times a year, so I'm not familiar enough with the show.

Well I leave home before 7 during the school year, so I rarely get to watch any. But this year I have 1st period planning. I'll probably watch Today because I've watched it since I was a kid. I have never liked GMA and I can't take the Early Show seriously--they need to stop treating those ridiculous reality contestants like serious news items. That stuff belongs on Access Hollywood.
BTW, when DH turns on the TV in the morning he watches Fox News channel. He doesn't like Katie either.

I watch teh Today Show although I find Katie Courie, Campbell Brown and Al Roker to be annoying at times. I HATE the Early Show and I don't like Good Morning America probably b/c I can't stand Diane Sawyer.

Go GMA! I would love to be one of those visitors who are in the studio. I love Diane and Charlie; they seem to get along well with each other too.

I agree about Katie and Matt being kind of snooty. I have never even watched The Early Show.

Fox news with Jodi Applegate. Always liked her. Next would be the Early Show, always liked Harry Smith. Used to like Today, but not any more. Ann Curry really annoys me, her choice of clothing (lots of cleavage!) and her messy greasy looking hair is hard to look at. And Katie has really changed, can't put my finger on it. And although I know it was for his health, I liked Al better when he was chubby.

I'm not usually at home. When I am, I used to always watch the Today Show. I don't anymore. I think Katie Couric is arrogant and if she doesn't agree with the individual she is interviewing she turns into a pit bull-I agree that she has become very biased. I don't really have that strong an opinion of Matt Lauer. I do like Ann Curry most of the time. All of them seem to show their own feelings way too much. They are not "reporting the news". It all deteriorated for me when David Bloom died.

I find GMA to be a better program for reporting the news. Weekends I like to watch MSNBC. I like Lester Holt.

I'm having a good chuckle here because I though I was alone in thinking Katie Couric had become incredibly biased. It is always hard to tell if you are being too subjective in maters like this. But from all the other responses, I see I was right to send them an email complaining.

When I get a chance to watch the morning news (which isn't much), I usually watch the Today show. I like Katie, Matt, Al and Ann.

Maybe we should send this thread to The Today Show? I'm another ex-Today Show viewer, now flipping between GMA and Fox.

Katie's bias is so apparent. She used to do ok... now she seems to not be able to control her feelings.

Before my Mom died in 2002 she stopped watching Today, and she's been watching since before Bryant Gumbel! She told me she thought Katie had become hard and biased.

I couldn't believe that that sweet chubby faced girl had an "edge".. not Katie!

Well, in the past few years I really see it. She seems bitter and jaded, and somewhat angry. My last straw was her reporting of the DNC, she totally turned me off.

I still like Matt and Ann, Al Roker is sort of getting on my nerves. I'll give ABC a chance because I love Diane's smoky voice and Charlie's been an old fave from the old NY days. As for CBS, there are TOO MANY OF THEM!! They need to widdle that crowd down to two, it's a bit much.

If big news is happening I flip between CNN, FOX and MSNBC during commercial breaks.

I love Good Morning America. It's not that I dislike the others, its that I really enjoy all of the people on GMA, and the show's format.

Ahhh...Jodi Applegate! I definitely miss her. I wish she was on national news again.

This thread is funny cause DH & I were just saying how we prefer GMA over the Today show now. Katie & Matt getting too hardnosed. I like Diane, Charlie, Tony & Robin on GMA. They are more laid back & refreshing. DH heard recently that GMA has higher ratings now than the Today show.
