Good lounge area or bar to watch playoffs at???

We'll be arriving in WDW on Jan 12, and want to be able to watch the playoffs, especially the Patriots one that night at 8:00. The ESPN Club is out just because of the huge lines. We'll be at POP, so any ideas of some good spots to watch and cheer the hometown team on?

Since it's a play-off game, it will be on national TV. You should be able to watch it in your room.

I'm sure the pool bar will have it on or the bar inside by the food court.

Well, yeah, we knew that...thought perhaps it might be nice to be with a bunch of other fans. You know..hooting and hollaring. Besides, who wants to hang out in their room at POP? I love it there, but not for a playoff game.

I've caught NFL games at the Outer Rim in the Contemporary during '06 and '07. They've got a buch of TVs set-up around the tables and bar. It's never been over-crowded when I was there, but there were still a few people hanging around watching the games.

Thanks for the question Goofy4tink! We arrive on Jan. 11 (late) and the Packers play on Saturday the 12th at 4:30pm.

I had fully planned on taking DH to ESPN (we are staying at BWV) - but you are right - the line there gets nuts. I forgot about that. Maybe we will have to try one of the other lounges for some fun. I have a dinner reservation at 5:30pm - but that may have to change to accomodate some football action! Maybe I will see you at one of the lounges ... I will be the one in the Brett Favre hat! I am hoping my Packers can pull off a couple more good games!
