Big time internal communications job at WDW. This is through a search firm, so if you don't match the qualifications exactly (or really, really closely) it's not worth the effort to apply.

Description:

Walt Disney Parks & Resorts, owner of the world’s most frequented tourist spots including: Disneyland Park in Anaheim, CA and Walt Disney World in Orlando, FL, which encompasses four theme parks (Magic Kingdom, Disney-MGM Studios, Epcot, and Animal Kingdom) hotels, water parks, golf courses and a cruise line, is seeking a Vice President of Internal Communications. The position’s primary charter is to lead internal communications on a worldwide basis for the 70,000 Walt Disney Parks & Resorts’ employees, cast, crew, and “Imagineers”. The selected professional will be responsible for developing and implementing internal communication strategies and messages that inform, align and engage employees in support of the Company’s business strategies, plans and related initiatives.

Additional duties include: partnering with Employee Corporate Communications, Walt Disney Parks & Resorts Strategic Communications, and Site Communication teams to insure alignment and consistency between external and internal communication messaging; providing expert knowledge and input to The Walt Disney Company portal strategy on issues and opportunities related to employee communications; supporting Walt Disney Parks & Resorts senior leadership team on emerging issues, management and crisis communication; and, providing writing support for internal communication products including portal messages, organizational announcements, and executive communication support. Required Qualifications:

A Bachelor of Arts degree in communications, human resources, or related field is required; a Master’s degree in any of the above would be advantageous. The ideal candidate will have a minimum of 12-15 years of broad-reaching experience in internal communications, holding senior leadership roles. Also required is a demonstrated track record in dealing with the effective communication of complex organization and human resource issues in addition to proven written, presentation, and interpersonal communication skills.
