We are planning a spring break trip. I'm interested in a hotel within walking distance to Disneyland. It could be as many as seven adults and an infant....Hotel ideas, please? We are not averse to cozy quarters, we don't plan on spending much time in the room!

Inexpensive, clean, walking distance. Helpzies?

Thank you!

I 'was' going to suggest the Alpine Inn until I saw you had an infant.
Kind of a long walk even for an adult at the end of the day.
Very stock as a rock motel, nothing fancy but gets the job done.:cool2:

I haven't heard of that one, I'll study up on it. The "adults" in question are between the ages of 21 and 25 except for me...I'm the old one. :flower3:

I'll be staying at the HoJo with 7 adults and 2 kids (3 and 5). We'll have three rooms total between the 9 of us. We were able to score the entertainment rate of 50% off for 4 of the 5 nights of our trip which makes it ultra reasonable. We're staying in "premium" park view rooms which are $74 at the entertainment rate. Entertainment rate for standard and deluxe view rooms go for $59. We also received 15% off the other night.

This will be our first time trying HoJo out but have heard that it's a reasonably nice place with a 10 minute walk to the Disneyland gates. I'm looking forward to being there with my family and expect everything to go smoothly. Their customer service has been great so far. :wizard:

We stay at the Anaheim Plaza. It's old and not fancy. But we're rarely in the room so it works for us. It's about a 10 minute walk from the hotel to the turnstiles. It's usually only around $69 a night. You don't need an entertainment card or anything.

You could also try Desert Inn and Suites. Just across the cross walk and sleeps up to 10 people in 2 adjoining rooms. We have friends who stayed there last spring break and they really liked how close it was to the park and that they could fit everyone in. I think they have 8 in their family.

With an infant, I think I'd pick one of the crosswalk hotels, regardless of cost. You'll want quick and easy access back to the hotel for breaks. I'd suggest BWPPI, Desert Inn or Park Vue. If you can get the Ent rate at HoJo, the savings would offset the extra 5 minutes' walk. It's a bit nicer than the others, the kids' water play area ROCKS, and the beds are ultra-comfy!

You could look into staying at the Camelot Inn. The room we had was great for the 7 of us. In the main room there was a king bed and a double sofa bed, a table with 4 chairs, and a counter with a small fridge and microwave. In the bedroom there were 2 queen beds. There was also a TV in each room.

its an odd hotel, but you can get very cheap rooms. Its clean and on the far edge of walking distance

We had 7 of us going last year and we stayed at Park Vue. It's right across the street. The rooms were clean. There was a small fridge and a microwave in each room. The pool was small, but who cares. We liked being very close to the walkway.

Just stay away from the IHOP that's next door...AWFUL food.

HTH

Ditto on the BAD food at IHOP. Bad service also.

For an inexpensive hotel that's pretty close, we do Anaheim Plaza. Like someone mentioned earlier, it's about 69$ and if you don't see that price on their site, then check a travel site like expedia or hotels.com.

Also, I'm a college student and I have some friends under 21; the hotel considers those who are under 21 to be children still, so taxes aren't added for them.

I have a large extended family and we have always enjoyed the Desert Inn. We can get 2 very large adjoining rooms for a total of 5 beds (one is a sofabed) and 2 full bathrooms. Plus we get to be together rather than be spread apart in multiple separate rooms elsewhere. The hotel is clean but basic. Very close to the park so its an easy walk for little ones.

Also consider the Ramada Inn Maingate. It's within walking distance, and usually not as expensive as the others that are.
