What to do:
1. Definately appreciate the day because it goes by soo fast!!
2. Spend the extra money for a terrific photographer and videograher (Stan from STVS and Randy from Chapman Photography)...even though it might seem expensive at the time, photos and videos are so important once the big day is all over
3. Treat yourself to one of the fun "treats" that Disney offers. For example, we tried not to go crazy with all the extras that Disney offered (nor could we afford to, like there was no way he could have done Cinderella's carriage) but we treated ourselves to some small, disney touches that were so special. We did as a pre-appetizer 50 individual cinderella glass slippers that were actually ice sculputures that had rasperry sorbet served inside of them and the sorbet was died to match my bridesmaids' dresses. They had small lights inside each of them so they all glowed! They looked amazing!! When they presented them at the reception, they dimmed the lights and played spectromagic music in the background. Our guests (and us as well!) were amazed!! Disney magic even in the food! We also skipped out on the champagne toast (ick! My husband and I don't care much for champagne) so we did a special toasting drink (Frozen Strawberry diaquries!) they looked incredible all coming out on trays!!
4. Book a great restaurant like 'Ohanas for a rehearsal dinner or get together before of after the wedding. This was such a great memory for us to have! We did 'Ohanas for our rehearsal (there were about 26 of us) and it was terrific!! The restarant was the perfect place to have a fun, stressfree meal! The food was delicious and they really catered to our group! We are so glad we did it!
5. MAKE SURE YOUR WEDDING COORIDNATER TELLS THE LIMO DRIVER WHERE TO PICK YOU UP ON THE DAY OF YOUR WEDDING!!! I assumed (you know what they say about those who assume..?!?

) I waited and waited and waited in the lobby of the Beach Club Resort for over an hour to be picked up by the limo driver!!! Apparently, the limo driver was waiting at the Yacht Club!! Needless to say, I was 45 minutes late for my pictures at the Grand Floridian and my nice, stressfree hour long photo session at the GF turned into a stressful, hurried 13 minutes.

Just make sure everyone is one the same page.....my mom and dad were not happy realizing that after the amount of money they spend on my day, someone had forgotten the bride
6. Do a couples massage at the Grand Floridian. We made it a wedding present to each other (and then my sister in law ended up making that our wedding present!) and it was INCREDIBLE!!

Romantic doesn't even begin to describe it!! That is something we have never done together, and I never thougth I'd get my big, manly sports-lovin husband into a spa but we really both loved it! A great experience!!!
7. Do book Carolyn Allens to do dress pressing or tuxedo renting. We went through her for both and they were incredible. They truly came through for us. They are true professionals and just having them there, they really look out for you. My mother had gotten something on her dress. My mom started to panic, but (forgive me, I can't remember the dear woman that come) but she worked and worked getting the stain out. When she was done, it was good as new. A lifesaver to a tad-stressed mother of the bride!
What not to do:
1. Let anyone critize your plans or your ideas! This is your day and only you know what you have envisioned since you were a child! Dream big girl!
2. Don't put yourself or your parents in the poor house for this wedding. I was very fortunate to have my parents pay for our wedding, but I also have 2 sisters so I was given a strict limit and I knew I had to stay within that budget. You can do a beautiful wedding without breaking the bank. It's all about choices. But nothing is worth being in dept for years and years. Enjoy the day, but stay within the ballpart of your budget
3. Don't forget your marriage license! Can't do anything on the wedding day without that!! Have lots and lots of people remind you about that!!
