We will be attending a convention in early April. What is a good hotel near the convention ctr. that has transportation to the parks?

We really enjoyed the Peabody Hotel. Got a good price on Hotels.com. I believe they had a trolley you could take to get around. Called I-ride or something.

Sorry I don't have more info. We drove.

I've never stayed along I-drive, but the Convention Center is much closer to US. You should be able to easily take the I-Ride trolley from the most of the properties near the convention center to Universal Studios.

I doubt that any of those properties are going to have complimentary transportation to WDW... just like the Kissimmee hotels don't offer complimentary to US.

The shuttles for hire will normally make stops at multiple hotels, so it could take you a long time to get to WDW. You might want to consider renting a car on the days you go to WDW if there's more than 2 of you heading to the parks. R/T from convention center to WDW will be around $15 per person per day. So if you have more than two people heading to WDW, it is more cost effective to rent a car.

The Peabody looks beautiful, I would imagine that you would have an enjoyable stay there.

Good luck!

The Peabody is definitely the nicest hotel within walking distance to the Convention center. It doesn't offer WDW transportation, but I can't think of any other I-Drive hotels that do either.

I know the Hawthorne Suites on Canada Avenue offer transportation to WDW parks. It's just off of I-Drive. I know the hotel was clean and had good free breakfast buffet.

The Peabody is very close and I have always heard good things about it.
the Rosen Plaza and Rosen Centre are close and supposed to be deluxe type properties, but are not. Just got back from a convention and stayed at
Plaza and would not recommend. You can take a public bus or the trolley to many places. Check the hotel webistes for infor on transportation to the parks. I believe most offer free tran to Universal and fee per trip to WDW.
SeaWorld is also very close.

We'll be staying at The Peabody again this year because it's absolutely stunning. It doesn't offer free transport to any of the parks, but the fee for transport to WDW is very reasonable. It's actually cheaper to take a taxi to US than using their transport though.

Is the embassy suites on Jamacian ct.. It is off of International blvd.

You get a two room suite . Huge bedroom w/tv, living room w/tv, kitchenette, seperate bathroom and vanity. Indoor access to room. Free breakfast every morning, and free drinks between 5-7 every day. Indoor-outdoor pool (very neat). The atrium is just beautiful.

ask for a corner suite as they are slightly larger.

If you stay at this one you will be very pleased.
