Good deals on DTD hotels?

I always thought it would be fun to stay in the DTD hotels. Has anyone ever gotten a good rate on any of them, and would you mind sharing it and where you got it from?

I know about hotwire and priceline, but it's a little complicated. :lmao: I'm not sure I'm up to snuff (and probably a little too cautious)!

I've looked into the Marriott Village hotels, Doubletree and Best Western so far. Any others you would recommend around there.

I looked into the values as well, but I'm just not sure I like the theming. I think the DTD are a better value than the moderates.

Anyhoo...thanks for the input everyone!

Looks like our best deal will be the Marriott Village because dh's credit card has a point system that can be redeemed there.

Anyone have a favorite. They are all about the same cost overall...the mousesavers code offers a hot breakfast buffet for two at the Courtyard...wonder what the cost would be for the two kids.

Springhill Suites and Fairfield also offer breakfasts...continental though.

Free parking and shuttles to the parks are included in the mousesavers rate as well.

So, are they all pretty close to DTD? Walking distance do you think?

All the hotels on Hotel Blvd. are within walking distance to DTD.
Some people think they are too far to walk, but we don't mind it. They have sidewalks and a very nice walking path from the hotels to DTD.
Also, all these hotels are within walking distance to the Crossroads shopping center and many restaurants. There is a grocery store there called Goodings.

Well, this was my best vacation deal EVER. I priced out R/T airline tix for my family of four, it came to $800 for the four of us.
But to book the BW DTD hotel, for 7 nights over spring break week, it came to a grand total of $999, Airfare from NYC nonstop for four, Car rental (intermediate) from Hertz and the BW DTD for $999!!!!
Couldn't believe it!!! I booked in Jan for the April trip.
I think that sometimes when you book through Travelocity, and book a complete package, you can get great discounts!!

I just booked this new property located in Old Town Area of Kississimmee, FL for 59.00 night until 12/08.
Old Town used to be dirty, filthy, but this is a NEW resort in fact they are still building the pool. I booked a 3 bedroom unit for 59.00 plus tax and there is a one time cleaning fee, I believe she said 66.00, but I am booking this for family who is attending my son's graduation there, I don't have enough room myself in the Orlando area. I was in the Industry for years and I can say if I am placing close family here, and the price is excellent especially for those on a slimmer budget these days=or even for people who want quality for cheap!
(I am in no way or form affiliated with this property), the pool is still being worked on so you'd have to go to their sister property in Davenport, FL (if that's a biggie for you to have to have).
If anyone is interested the phone is (877)-477-2567.
Check out their website as well Regal Oaks Resort, at Old Town, Kissimmee, FL.
Good luck to everyone, and may you have the hotel or your dreams, and have the vacation of a lifetime!

Trip, SHORTLY! ;-)

Marriott Village ... So, are they all pretty close to DTD? Walking distance do you think?
MV is not walking distance to DTD IMO; according to Google maps it's 2.5 miles from there to say the Disneyquest end of DTD. I realize I'm lazy and all, but I don't even consider the BW walking distance (just don't want to spend time walking in the Florida heat). YMMV.

My favorite hotel in the MV is the Springhill, just because you get more room for the money. You can share pools, visit other restaurants, but that extra space is nice. And they do one of the better continental breakfasts I've seen including some hot items, but it's up to you as how much you and your kids eat in the morning.

We always drive to WDW as the shuttles do not run all day (limited to morning drop offs, returns starting early evening). FWIW.

Try www.bookit.com it is a great site. Matter of fact, today they had the Royal Plaza for $70 and $88 for a Tower Room. THe sale ends soon but they also had the Best Western and the Grosvenor (cant remember the new name).

Hope this helps.
