Good deal at Budget, opinion on 2nd reservation

I just reserved a full size car for $183 for 8 days with Budget using their Mastercard deal (on their website under specials). This includes a free upgrade to a prem car. The availablity of the prem is, of course, not guaranteed. I really need the space in the prem and I'm a little nervous about relying on the availability especially since we're arriving around 10:30pm.

The agent said he would not worry about it, they always have lots of prem's. Still, there is no guarantee.

I'm thinking maybe I should make a backup ressie. Using the Costco code, I can get the prem car for about $100 more. I've never made 2 ressies for a car rental and wasn't sure about doing it.

Any thoughts or opinions???

If you feel the need for a backup reservation make it someplace besides Budget. Rental car companies don't like this and they could just decide to make you pay the premium rate when they pull you up.
