I'm thinking of transferring my credits and staying in Florida after the CP is over. Can any Florida natives suggest any good community colleges that are in the Orlando area???
Both Valencia Community College in Orlando or Seminole Community College in Sanford, FL are very nice community colleges. I attended the University of Central Florida and lots of my fellow students had started out at VCC or SCC or many of the other community colleges in Florida. I was wishing I would have started at those schools as well because the tuition was cheaper.
One of my classes through UCF was actually held at Seminole Community College and the campus was very nice and I had a great teacher. I also took a different class at Brevard Community College in Cocoa, Florida. The funny thing about this class was most of us were from the UCF main campus in Orlando. We kept joking that UCF should run a bus because so many of use were driving for this class. It was only offered at BCC and we needed to take it.
I think any community college in Florida allows you to transfer credits to a state college or university, if you decide to go that route one day. Here is a link to all the Community colleges in Florida.
THank you for the info!!!! Valencia has a program that is more geared toward the degree I am currently pursuing, so I'll have to check it out while
I'm there.
I just wanted to mention that I just graduated from Valencia this fall and transferred to UCF this spring semester. I loved Valencia. I only took classes on the East Campus, and East and West Campus seem to be the most involved. The professors all really wanted to help, and I felt at home here. Hope this helps!
