Good choice for a single mom on a budget

I'm thinking of pulling DS(9) out of school for a week next October for an Orlando trip. I'd love to do Aquatica, US/IOA, a couple of daytrips to cocoa beach and at least Not So Scary Halloween Party (not sure if I'd do more Disney than that).

Can someone suggest an offsite place that's

1) Has 1 bedrooms with kitchen, or super cheap 2 bedrooms
2) Clean, safe, but doesn't need to be "luxury"
3) Great pool (on our last two trips we've spent more time in the pool than at the parks)
4) Convenient to some good restaurants that aren't too expensive.

Try the link above. It's a gated community located in the area of the Orange County Convention Center on Universal Drive (great location for what you want to do).

A lot of the properties are expensive, but if you send out an inquiry and specify that you're top priority is a budget price, you can probably get what you're looking for. I got offers of about $600 for Thanksgiving week last year.

Also, if you're doing Sea World and US/IOA, you might want to check into the Orlando Flex Ticket. It also includes Wet 'N' Wild (may include Aquatica when it opens, but I don't know that for sure). It will give you unlimited admission for a certain amount of time. Besides that, US/IOA has a 7 day ticket for about $85.

We have stayed at the Vistana Villages. My son is 8 and he loved it there. It is 4 miles from Seaworld and about 10 miles to Universal. I feel very safe there and the resort is so beautiful. They have 1 and 2 bedroom villas. I have seen them for around 130 per night and I bet you could get a better deal if you looked around. The pool is great and there is pool volleyball, an arcade and ping pong by the pool. The pool has a beautiful grotto and a little waterfall.

Before my DH got a promotion and I was able to find a little part time work our vacations use to be super, super budgets. IF you dont mind giving up 2 hours of vacation time we use to do presentations for packages. THey were not so bad to us because we were listened patiently for the tour did not offer objections answered yes or no and was very emotionless during the whole time. THen when they tried to close we often said we dont own a home or would say that we would have to have our church member who is a lawyer look over the contract. GOt us out the door faster than anything.

There is a full kitchen, washer/dryer, sofa bed, screened porch, nice pool, miniature golf on site, close to many good eating places, and only 5 minutes or less from downtown disney and like 3 minutes to I-4.

Another vote for Cypress Pointe Grand Villas through hotelkingdom.com You want to be sure you choose Grand Villas for the 1 br. In the regular Cypress Pointe Studio, there is only a king bed (and frig and microwave).
