........Like them or not????? I'm absolutely obsessed with them and their cd right now!!!!!!!! Everywhere I go I have that cd with me!!! I was just listening to Girls and Boys. Anyone else like them????:teeth: :teeth: :teeth:

They're good. My girls love them.

Wow, I think that is the quickest anyone has responded to one of my posts!!!:teeth:

Hehe, me too!! His name is Joel. He is my favorite too!!!!:teeth: :teeth:

Yes I have. My daughter Jessica (13) loves them to. Went to their concert in May.

I love them. Been listening to them long before they were picked up by the local radio stations.

Well you asked if we like them or not, but you didn't leave any options in the poll for those who don't like them.

I personally find them extremely inspirational. The fact that people can become famous off of such CRAP inspires me to become a rock star! (hey if they can do it...)

YES YES YES. My daughter's FAVORITE band. We saw them in concert several weeks ago. And an added bonus: they actually seem like nice boys :)

Ooh, I like them. I just can't stop playing their CDs. My only problem with the 2 CDs is that they are just a tad too long to both be on ONE 80 min CD AND I can't find a song to leave off.

You should know who the guy is in the little pic in my siggy!!!

I'd never heard of them until this summer when my 11yo DD mentioned that my teenage nephew wore only t-shirts from their concert.

My babysitter (about the age of nephew) also likes them.

I did find out from my sister that the reason my nephew seems to have an abundance of t-shirts from their concert is that his dad (police officer) worked at the concert and conviscated (?) the unauthorized t-shirts. They are allowed to keep that type of stuff for themselves so my nephew ended up with a complete wardrobe of the the same shirt.

At first I thought I was the only 20something that liked them. But I have since learned otherwise!!! Thank goodness!

DocRafiki-----Sorry!!!:o I cant believe I left that one off!!! I guess I like them sooooooooooooooooooo much that I didn't even think about that!!!

chellnjr-----How could I not know who that is!?!?!:teeth: :teeth: :teeth: I love Joel!!!!!:teeth: :teeth:

MY son loves them ! I have to listen to them all the time , I have learned to tune most of his music out though ;) They dont seem all that bad.( some people do not like anything no matter what it is )

Wishing everyone a tagged night

:earseek:

ROTFLMBBO! You crack me up, Doc. :p

My answer is, "Who the heck are they?" :p I'm old Ashton, I don't get to hear too much of the newer "stuff". I stick with the "oldies". :p

Aaah, more mall punk...

Whatever happened to the days of foul-mouthed, heroin-addicted, homicidal, anti-social b***ards?

The only thing Good Charlotte probably has in common with the punk rockers of the past is a burning hatred of anybody who's a Republican or a Conservative.

I'm both so I don't listen to their stuff. I have heard of them, though.

Sincerely,

John "anotherboardnposter" Kilduff...

Their songs aren't about anything like that.

Actually, I have never liked punk music. But I sure do like them. I don't consider them punk at all - not compared the the stuff I grew up listening to my sister play. I still don't understand how they got that label.

Ummm....I am not sure what exactly you are trying to say with this, or if I should be offended. I have been a card carrying Republican since the day I turned 18 and could not wait to participate in my first election. My political views/lifestyle would most definitely be classified as Conservative. (But my musical tastes certainly wouldn't.) I don't understand if you are trying to say that Rep/Cons shouldn't listen to them because they are not within the image of the Rep/Con or because the group is directing some "burning hatred" toward them? Frankly I don't think either reason makes much sense when in the previous statement you were suggesting that they aren't "good or true" Punk music because they are not all of those things you labeled....or was that supposed to be sarcasm

Yes, it was supposed to be sarcasm...I'm not a punk rock person by any stretch of the imagination. The fashion fascinates me, but the rest leaves something to be desired.

I was actually generalizing, as I tend to do...I can't tell the difference really. Part of my disability (Aspergers' Syndrome, a form of autism) causes me to make these sweeping generalizations. It's hard to find proof to the contrary of many things (punk rock, rap music, movies, TV, pop music) when the media and other outlets only showcase the worst of each element.

I apologize...

Sincerely,

John "anotherboardnposter" Kilduff
